Day 2 in Mexico
Olivia and Nathan decided to go for a walk a few hours after breakfast
Nathan: This resort is beautiful. Your mum really nailed this one.
Olivia: Yes, she did.
Nathan: (looks at Olivia) So, how are you? From the look of things yesterday, you don't get along with your mum.
Olivia: Is it that obvious?
Nathan: Yes, but don't worry, my parents are pain in my ass most times, too.
Olivia: (laughs) I know right. Those folks be doing a lot most times.
Nathan: Do you still dance?
Olivia: Oh you remembered. (she smiles) Yes, I do.
Nathan: Good to know. (he smiles) You can bet that I remember everything when it involves you. Ever since we discovered the photo of your mom in her cheerleading uniform, your deep-rooted love for dancing and ongoing obsession with cheerleading have been apparent.
Olivia: (she smiles) I am impressed, Nathan. I really am.
Nathan: So how come you never responded to my emails, letters and even DMs?
Olivia: (looks at him) I was in a dark place then and I wasn't letting people in.
Nathan: Hmmm, even on your birthdays. Jordan always responded, but you never did.
Olivia: I truly am sorry about that. This might sound like a cliche, but it wasn't you, it was me. You did nothing wrong.
Nathan: Let's get somewhere to sit.
Back at the resort
Spencer's room
Spencer was busy with his phone when he heard a knock on his door.
Spencer: Layla! What do you want?
Layla: I hope I am not disturbing you?
Spencer: Not really. Can I help you with anything?
Layla: No, I just thought that you and I can hang, since Liv is not here and Jordan and Naomi are together. We can keep each other company.
Spencer: (takes a pause) I don't think that is a good idea.
Layla: Common, Spencer, we just sit and talk, nothing more.
Spencer: Okay. We can go talk outside, though. There is a nice spot to sit outside.
Layla: Okay, I will meet you there in 5 minutes.
Olivia & Nathan
Olivia: See, Nathan, you are a great guy and we are matured enough to know what my mum is trying to do and I am honestly not trying to lead you on. You don't deserve that.
Nathan: You are not leading me on, I promise. I am just disappointed.
Olivia: Why are you disappointed?
Nathan: Do you know I had a crush on you back then, when we were kids?
Olivia: (smiles) Wow, really? I didn't know.
Nathan: I do and honestly I still do. I wish you read those messages I sent, or maybe you did read them and ignored the contents.
Olivia looks at him and smile.
Nathan: I had to come to GAU, about three to four times, to watch you cheer, without you knowing. I know a lot about you than you think.
Olivia: Wow, it is a lie, and it sounds creepy (she laughs) Should I be afraid or something?
