Chapter 37

Jordan's apartment

Spencer and Olivia continue to ring his doorbell with no response from Jordan. Olivia got frustrated and started hitting the door.

Olivia: Jordan! open this damn door. What is your problem? (she shouts in anger)

Spencer: Babe, not with that tone.

Olivia: I am getting tired. He has locked himself up for how many days now? He is not attending classes. His mates are taking steps on what is next for them, but my brother has decided to put everything on hold.

Spencer: Babe (he caresses her face) None of us can understand what he is going through right now. So, we need to be patient with him. He is even strong enough to be breathing. If something happens to you, I don't think I would be able to survive it. So, we will just keep trying.

Olivia: (sighs) I know. I feel bad for him and i just want to help him. (she rings the bell again and shouts) Jordan, please open the door. You know what? today, I am not leaving. Even If I have to sleep at your doorstep for days, I will.

Spencer and Olivia heard a movement and looked at themselves. Jordan finally opens the door...

Olivia: (hugs her brother) Hew. You look like you fell in a pit. This place smells damn.

Spencer: (laughs) Hey bro.

Jordan didn't say a word, he just walked away as they let themselves in.

Olivia: Jordan, you can't put your life on hold just like that. I know it is hard, but you have got to move on and live for Naomi. She wouldn't want to see you like this.

Spencer: Bro, Liv is right. Naomi will never have wanted you like this. I know it is hard and I can't even tell you that I know what you are going through, but together we can all get through this. Naomi would want all of us to be happy, especially you. So, please cheer up and let us help you.

Jordan; (looks at Olivia and Spencer and broke down in tears again) I miss her, Liv. I really do miss her.

Olivia: (holds her brother) I know Jordan, we all do too.

Jordan keeps crying...

Olivia: You know what, I will help you clean up the room while you go to your bathroom and have a bath. Then we can all take a drive. You can do that for me, right?

Jordan: (nods) Yes. (he stood up to enter the bathroom) Liv, next time use the extra key I gave you.

Olivia: (taken aback) What? (dawns on her) Oh, I have an extra key.

Spencer: Really Liv?

Olivia: Don't blame me. I forgot. (she squeezes her face) Now, get to work smart mouth.

Spencer: Which work?

Olivia: We need to clean up this place, Spencer.

Spencer: Then why are you still sitting?

Olivia:( gives him a puppy face) I have a headache.

Spencer: Since when? (looks at her in confusion)

Olivia: Since now. Now, Spencer don't stress me. I will join you when I am a bit better.

Spencer: Lazy ass (he eyes her) get yourself up and let us clean.

Olivia: So much for I love you. (she rolls her eyes at him)

Spencer: (laughs) Get to work babe.

Spencer and Olivia both helped Jordan get back on his feet and things went back to normal for the group of friends.
