Chapter 7

Girls' hostel

Once the movie ended, Olivia, Kia, and Davita remained seated, fully engrossed. Olivia got up and made an attempt to exit to her room. Kia stopped her.

Kia: Girl, it's been 24hrs since you returned from your date with Spencer and you haven't said a thing.

Davita: Give us the tea. What happened? Which restaurants did he take you to?

Kia: Did you guys kiss, or you did the nasty? But knowing who you are, I will settle for a kiss.

Olivia: (rolls her eyes playfully as she pretends to leave)

Davita: Wait, (Looks at Kia) She is not ignoring us right?

Kia: Olivia Baker, if you don't speak now, you will see the other side of me and you won't like it.

Olivia: (snorts) Calm down! We didn't go to a restaurant, neither did we kiss or do the nasty.

Kia: Sooo, what did you guys do?

Olivia: We went to a nice place, his family's cabin, and we talked. That is all.

Davita: Huh? Are you kidding?

Olivia: No, I am not. That is all we did.

Davita: Boring!

Kia: Damn! Spencer is definitely not who I think he is. I thought he got game.

Olivia: (smiles) Well, I guess he is a gentleman and again; it was a friendly date, nothing more. Okay?

Davita: If that is what you call it.(she smiles)

Olivia: That reminds me, are we going to sit and watch our friend lock herself in her room over a boy?

Davita: I knocked earlier, she said when she is ready she will let us in.

Kia:Yea, she probably wants to be alone.

Olivia: That Troy boy! I better not see him. Such an ass. Jordan will hear from me.

Davita: In all fairness to him, we were here when Simone said she wanted a bad boy. I guess she got more than what she bargained for.

Olivia: Is that supposed to be funny? Cause it is not.

Kia: Anyway, I have my own little secret.

Davita: Okay, let's hear it.

Kia: Darnell.(she smiles)

Davita: Who is Darnell?

Kia: Will you let me speak? Darnell James, I have been talking to him and though we are still getting to know each other (she smiles) I like how things are going between us.

Olivia: Darnell? Spencer's brother.

Kia: Yes.

Davita: Awww, you guys about to be sisters, The James' wives

Olivia: (shoot glares at her) Slow your roll, sister. Your imagination is wide (she snorts) James' wives? (she scoffs) Don't make me laugh.

Kia: (laughs) Me, I claim it. I am not even going to front, I like him and I am just waiting for him to make things official.

Olivia: What if he doesn't?

Kia: This is 2024. I will take matters into my own hands.

They all laughed.

Davita: That is why you are my person.

Kia: When you see a good man, my sister, hold on to him and that is what i am going to do.
