"Finally! The work is finished."

I sighed in relief, having finished my work for the day. I looked at the clock; it was 2:00 p.m. I had completed my work on time.

So much things has changed since the Soumya's incident. It was a tough time for everyone. The company suffered from huge losses due to the leak of sensitive information. Since that day, Arjun has been working like a robot.

Not only him, but everyone in the office have been working beyond their limits to regain the company's reputation.

What surprised me the most was Arjun's change in behavior.

What surprised me most was Arjun's change. He used to be harsh and critical, often scolding me in front of everyone, which made me feel awful. But now, he's softer and more respectful. He even asks for my advice on business matters and listens to my input.

It's hard to ignore this change. Even though I'm still processing everything, I see Arjun is trying to be kinder. It feels like a weight has been lifted, and things are improving between us.

I gathered my things and an important file, then went to Arjun's office.

As usual, Arjun was working. As soon as he realized I was there, he looked up.

"Arjun, I've finished my work for today and I'm leaving."

I told him.

"Where are you going?"

He asked with a frown.

"I have a meeting with the manager of the Sun Group Foundation."

He looked more confused.

"Meeting? Why didn't you tell me about it before?"

"Because I didn't think they would agree. I've been calling his office every day for the last two weeks for an appointment, and finally he agreed to meet."

I said, feeling happy.

"Siya, there was no need for this. Do you want me to come with you?"

I immediately shook my head.

"There's no need for you to come. Right now, the meeting is only with his manager. But don't worry, I'll do my best to convince him."

He looked at me with a deep gaze.

"Should I go now?" I asked.

"Come here," he ordered.

I went to him and stood next to him. He suddenly pulled me towards him and made me sit on his lap.

"Arjun..."

He suddenly hugged me, nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck. My body shivered at his actions. He hugged me like a child seeking comfort. I ran my fingers through his silky hair.

I would have been shocked if it was the first time, but nowadays, these kinds of things are very normal between us. I still don't fully understand what's going on between us.

Seeing his behavior, it's clear he doesn't hate me as much as he did before. But this doesn't mean that he likes me either. For now, everything is just normal between us.

The biggest issue is that he has neither apologized to me nor shown regret for whatever he did to me. I can see that.

The most pathetic part is that I allow this to happen to myself.
