Siya gasped in shock as she listened to everything.

She could never have imagined, even in her wildest dreams, that someone could be so criminal-minded. Having met Kimaya several times, she had always seen her in a positive light, but now she realized that behind that facade lay a cunning woman who had committed such a grave sin.

By now, Arjun's tears had dried as he continued speaking.

"Kimaya always wanted to possess Shaurya. That's why she first pretended to be my mother's friend, getting close to her to gain easy access to him-and it worked. She manipulated my mom's friend, who was desperate for money,"

Arjun said, his gaze steady.

"His daughter was in the hospital and needed urgent surgery to save her life. He asked my mother for help, but she refused to give it without consulting my father. Upset by this, he left, and that's when Kimaya seized the opportunity. She offered him the money in exchange for joining her plan. In his desperation to save his daughter, he sold his soul to her evil scheme."

"They first sent all the workers home, and then that man came to my house. At the time, I didn't understand, but now I realize he drugged my mom's food with sleeping pills so she wouldn't remain conscious. Then they involved Mira in the plan. Kimaya instructed Mira to inform Shaurya about the situation. When Shaurya arrived, he found them both in a compromising position and labeled my mother a characterless woman. To make everything appear even more real, Mira supported the entire plot."

Siya immediately asked, "But why did Mira aunty do this?"

Arjun's eyes burned with hatred as he replied.

"Like that man, Mira was also forced. Kimaya had kidnapped her children and threatened to kill them if she didn't comply. Under that pressure, Mira lied in front of everyone and later lacked the courage to tell the truth out of fear of Kimaya. They all contributed to killing my mother. To the world, it seemed like a suicide, but for me, it was murder. There were three culprits-Shaurya Singh Rathore, Kimaya Rathore, and my mother's so-called friend."

"Since that day, whether awake or asleep, I have had only one dream-to ruin the lives of those responsible for my mother's downfall. I made myself powerful enough to take my revenge with ease. My first target was my mother's so-called friend, whom I wanted to punish the most. The second was Kimaya, the one who started it all. And as for Shaurya Singh Rathore, what more could I destroy of him when life itself had already broken him down?"

After saying this, Arjun fell silent and looked at Siya, whose face was filled with confusion.

She glanced at him, her mind swirling with questions.

"Arjun, I understand everything you've said, but what I don't understand is how I fit into all of this. Your revenge was aimed at those who did wrong to your mother, so how did I come into this? What did I do that made you treat me this way?"

Arjun gently picked Siya up and placed her in his lap, softly stroking her hair.

After a moment, he spoke, "Before I answer your question, there's something else I need to tell you."

Siya looked at him, her confusion deepening.

Arjun took a deep breath, gathering the courage to reveal the biggest truth of his life.

"You know, humans have a strange quality-they lie not only to others but also to themselves. And for months, I've been lying to myself too, Siya. I told myself I hated you, that everything I did to you was out of revenge. But that was a lie, one I told not only you but myself as well."
