Siya and Aarav were sitting in the canteen.Siya reached into her wallet, pulled out a pen drive, and handed it to Aarav. Her expression was serious.
"Here, Aarav," she said.
Aarav looked confused as he took the pen drive from her.
"What is this, Siya?" he asked, unsure.
Siya took a deep breath before answering.
"It's evidence! This pen drive has Rajeev's confession about what he did to me. I want you to give it to the media so everyone will know what a disgusting person he is. He needs to be punished for his crimes. Will you help me with this, Aarav?"
Aarav stared at the pen drive in shock, not believing what he was hearing.
He looked at her with confusion.
"Confession? Seriously? How is that possible? Why would Rajeev admit to his crimes? And even if he did, how did you get this? Siya, please explain everything. I don't understand what's going on."
She took another deep breath, her hands shaking a little. She began to tell Aarav everything that had happened last night, though she left out the part about Arjun. She didn't have the courage to talk about that yet.
As Siya explained, Aarav listened closely, shocked to hear this. He couldn't believe what she had done. But along with the shock, he also felt anger and frustration at her actions.
"Seriously, Siya, you did all of this by yourself, without telling anyone? What if something had happened to you? I understand you couldn't tell Arjun, but you could have at least told me. You know I always help you with your decisions, and I would have helped with this too. But no, you did everything alone. Anything could have happened if Rajeev had hurt you. I didn't expect this from you. This was foolish, Siya. Honestly, I'm angry with you." He said in an angry tone.
Siya didn't take his words to heart. She felt comforted knowing how much he cared about her. She could understand why he was upset, and she appreciated his concern.
"I admit, Aarav, this task was full of risks," Siya said, her voice calm but firm. "But it was necessary for all of us and our company. However, it's not entirely my fault. You all are to blame too. What did you do? You hid the truth from me and lied that everything was fine. When I found out how much loss our company was, I didn't know what to do. I did what I thought was right."
Aarav's expression tightened as he listened.
"What we did, we did for your good. You were already in so much pain. We didn't want you to be stressed about the company too, so we lied. But that doesn't mean you should put your life in danger and do something so foolish. At the very least, you could have told me. God forbid if something had happened to you. Have you thought about what would happen to Arjun? And what would I have gone through?"
Siya could see the worry in his eyes.
"But nothing happened, right? Look, I'm completely safe, and I was sure that nothing would go wrong. That's why I took the risk. Kimaya Aunty assured me I would be fine, and she even sent bodyguards with me to make sure I was safe. That's why I wasn't worried because I knew I'd be okay," Siya said to him.
Aarav's eyes widened in surprise when he heard Kimaya's name.
"Wait, what did you say? Kimaya? How? Hold on, are you talking about Kimaya Rathore? Arjun's..."
Before he could finish, Siya interrupted, "Yes, I'm talking about Kimaya Rathore, Arjun's stepmom."
Hearing Siya's words, Aarav felt his head spin. He couldn't understand how Kimaya was involved in all this.
