Allowing fear to stop you

Today was a very important day for ASR Enterprises.

The entire office was focused on their work. There was a meeting with the Sun Group Foundation, and everyone wanted it to go well. If they lost this deal, it would be a huge problem for ASR Enterprises.

The company was already struggling after losing the previous deal, so they couldn't afford to lose this one.

Siya was the busiest one in the office. She was literally running around, making sure everything was perfect. She didn't have a moment to spare.

Siya went to Arjun's office to give him an update.

When he saw her, he asked.

"Are all the preparations done?"

"Everything is ready. I've checked everything-the meeting room is perfect, all the documents are in order, and both the marketing and finance teams are fully prepared. Everything is on track, Arjun. You don't have to worry."

Arjun nodded.

"Okay, when are they arriving?"

Siya quickly checked her tablet.

"The CEO and the manager, or maybe his secretary, will be here around 2:00 p.m. I've confirmed this with their secretary."

Arjun glanced at the clock. It was already 1:30 p.m.

"Alright, tell everyone to head to the meeting room. They'll be here soon."

The next half-hour passed quickly. The key members of the finance and marketing teams were already gathered in the meeting room, looking hopeful and determined.

At 2:00 p.m., Siya received a call informing her that the Sun Group Foundation's CEO and his secretary had arrived.

It was Siya's job to welcome them, so she quickly informed Arjun and went to the entrance. When they arrived, she greeted them professionally.

"Good afternoon, Sir! I'm Siya Mehra, secretary and marketing executive of ASR Enterprises. We're very glad to have you here today."

"Siya Mehra- that's a lovely name for a beautiful woman like you."

She hear the deep manly voice.

Surprised, Siya looked up and saw Rajiv Khanna, the CEO of Sun Group Foundation.

He was a tall, serious-looking man in his late thirties, but something about him made her uneasy. Despite her discomfort, Siya smiled politely.

"Thank you, sir!"

She replied, though she didn't like the compliment.

Rajiv smiled and offered his hand for a handshake.

"I'm Rajiv Khanna. It's a pleasure to meet such a beautiful woman."

Siya hesitated but then shook his hand. His grip was firm, but he held her hand longer than necessary, and his intense gaze made her uncomfortable. She quickly pulled her hand back, trying to ignore the strange feeling she had.

"Maybe I'm just overthinking it."

She thought, brushing off her unease. She then led the guests to the meeting room.
