The hunters had all ventured into the forest a few minutes later. Elizabeth got on her horse, and ventured deep into the forest. She would get a good catch today for sure. She didn't know how far she had gone until a while, when she stopped and looked around. There was not even a person in sight. She was enjoying the ride so much, she rode until she couldn't. Elizabeth looked around the area carefully.

Something rustled behind her, and the hair on the back of her neck stood up, in one motion, she turned around with her gun up ready to shoot. Her skills were accurate when hunting, she could shoot something from 50 feet afar as well. The bushes rustled again. She heightened her guard even more, narrowing her eyes down at the bush, waiting to see what would come out.

A small animal rolled out, and Elizabeth met eye to eye with two blue eyes. Her eyes widened. It was a unique cat, she's never seen something like this before. A white cat with blue eyes. It must be a special breed. Elizabeth put her gun down, and hopped off her horse. "What are you doing here little thing? You look lost." She tried picking up the cat, but it was faster than her. Running off. It was running in circles around the open area. Elizabeth laughed, watching the cute cat run aimlessly around the open area.

"You're so cute. Come here, I'm not going to harm you." She opened her arms wide for the cat, showing it that she was harmless. What else could she do to prove that she was harmless. That's when it struck Elizabeth. She threw her gun down as well, and kneeled on the floor so she'll be at level with the cat. "Here, let me take a good look at you." She tried again, in a softer voice.

The cat seemed to trust her now, as it slowly pawed towards Elizabeth, a little hesitant. But nevertheless it made its way right into Elizabeth's hands. The cat was small enough to fit perfectly in Elizabeth's two palms. So cute, she thought again.

"You're such a cute little cat." She says, running her fingers along the fur of the cat. It nuzzled against her fingers. "Where did you come from, little cat? This place is for wild animals. Not like you." She smiled, widely. The cat was the cutest thing she's ever seen.

"Let's go, come with me. We're going to hunt some animals together." Elizabeth stands up, picking her gun back again. But suddenly the weight shifts in her hands, and she looks down to see the cat jumping and running away again.

"Wait, where are you going?" Elizabeth made the mistake of running after the cat. The sky above was turning dark suddenly, clouds forming together into one big dark one. Elizabeth ran faster looking at the cloud. She needed to get out of here. She was getting tired soon, but then she lunged at the cat, catching it finally. "Got you." The oxygen in her was being knocked out with every breath she takes, she breathed heavily kneeling on the ground. "Where do you think you're going? You're such a cute little thing, I can't let you leave. I won't hurt you, but I would like to keep you."

The sky cracked open, a jagged wound spilling thunder across the forest. The sound slammed into her chest, sending tremors through her ribs, through her heart, through her trembling hands. Elizabeth looked up, her eyes wide, as the clouds thickened like ink spreading across water. The storm was coming, dark and relentless, and she could feel it in her blood—an unbearable weight pressing into her bones, draining her, hollowing her out.
