It's been several days since the rain cabin incident. After Maximillian took Elizabeth back to the mansion safely, he left and has not seen her since then. There was simply no time. The days keep passing and he can never find time these days.

One after another, there's always something to do. He has to meet up with Ludovika, he has to organize and read all those papers. He's been slowly reaching the final stage of being a Crown Prince. After this, he might just become Emperor.

But for the past several days, he hasn't been exactly doing well. All the things he has to do keep pounding down on him every second, he can't seem to free his mind from them. There's no place for rest in his mind.

It's all chaotic inside, so many things rushing through, so many thoughts at the same time.

Maximilian takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself. The chaos within him doesn't allow for any other thoughts than work work work and work. For a second he forgot how to breathe and had to force himself.

"Your highness," His assistant steps inside, breaking through the silence. "Lady Ludovika is here to see you. It's your time to meet her now." He informs Maximillian.

Maximilian simply nods, and returns his gaze back to the papers. Maybe after spending some time with Ludovika he will feel better.

They have been together for 3 weeks, and their relationship only grows brighter and bigger. "Let her in. And also bring in some nice jasmine tea." He slipped in before the butler hurried out.

Maximillian decided it was time to take a little rest. When he stood up, he hadn't realized it yet but his legs had grown numb, like they forgot what standing feels like. He dragged his feet across to the seating area, and sat down.

The softness and comfort of the couch lured him into sleep instantly, like a drug putting him in a deep state. Maybe resting for a little while won't be that bad. He entirely forgot Ludovika was coming up in a few minutes, so he lay down across the couch, legs kicked one over the other sprawled out.

His eyes instantly closed with tiredness. He could hardly focus anymore. The faint footsteps and sounds that were coming from outside almost brought him out of the deep influence. And then the door opened. Maximillian could hear everything that was happening, but his body was not willing to move. Someone could kill him now and he would pass away in his sleep.

But this person wasn't a killer. It was light footsteps. It must be Ludovika. He fell into a deeper sleep knowing nothing will happen to him.

He could feel Ludovika's gaze on him but he didn't dare open his eyes. She sits down on the couch, and suddenly something warm touches his cheek. Maximillian fell against the touch and nuzzled his cheek. Her hand was warm.

"How could you fall asleep like this, when you knew I was coming up?" She spoke suddenly. He didn't answer. She was just teasing as he can tell by the slight playfulness in her tone. "You're such a naughty prince." She laughs lightly. Her warmth was all he needed at this moment, something to calm him.
