When she went over to the other side that the man was facing, her entire body seized out of her control. Her hands trembled as she saw who was before her. She should've known when she saw that name, that it would be him. Maximilian eyed Elizabeth, but her breaths came out sharp and fast. His eyebrow quirked up, watching her have an almost mental breakdown. It was good that he couldn't recognize her since she had a mask on, but she was almost scared he might recognize her.

"Sorry. I'm here to treat you. I will be done with it quickly." Elizabeth said, swallowing down hard as she picked up the gauze and rubbing alcohol. "Please take off your shirt and show me where the wound is." Maximilian did so without questioning her, he slipped off his white shirt pulling it over his head and putting it aside. The wound was on his left shoulder, almost cut so deep Elizabeth flinched at the sight. How much pain did he go through? And who did this to him? Her hands carefully tended to his wound, sucking in her breath while she leaned closer. While she was tending, she glanced at him sometimes to make sure he wasn't angry or anything.

But instead, he had a very strange look plastered to his face. A smooth look, soft, and tender, and he was looking at her entirely. She couldn't look into them any longer, it would become and look weird if she stared at him that way. Elizabeth returned to work. "Elizabeth."

"Hm?" Her eyes widened, and they slowly looked at him to find him smiling with satisfaction. She just outed herself stupidly right now. Why did she respond to him? "How are you?" He asks innocently, while she was only one freaking out over this.

How did he know? He wasn't supposed to know. How did he find her out? "No, what- what are you talking about." She breathed harder. "I don-don't know who you are. I'm sorry, I can't treat you. I don't want to be here anymore," she picked up off the wall and hurried to the other side. "I'll send someone else." But as she was leaving, a hand grabs her from behind and pulls her back with the utmost force and aggression.

She meets two eyes burning with anger and wide fearful eyes, but his face is calm and collected. Elizabeth blinks smoothly, pretending not to know anything. "Sir, what's going on?"

Maximillian bends down, his hand still tight around her arm, and brings his face close towards hers. He breathes in sharply, and then opens his eyes in a swift motion. Elizabeth stared at him, still blinking and confused through her mask. Then he placed his hands around her, and embraced her slowly. When she didn't push him away, he took that as the indication to hold onto her tighter. His arms tightened around her, not wanting to let go. "Sir," she said slowly, not having the will or strength to push him away, because she didn't want to just yet.

"How long are you going to play these games?" He whispers under his breath so tired, and the small warmth from his lips touches her cheek as he speaks. His embrace was desperate, embracing her entire body so that she couldn't run away. "You think I didn't know. That it's you. I know." He speaks softly, meeting her eyes that were afraid and shaking. ElIzabeth's heart thudded in her chest. She felt shock so strongly within herself it made her tremble on the spot. What should she do? What can she do? She can't leave or run? He's holding onto her and he would never let go.
