Warning: cursing, mentions of blood, self harming, and season 8 spoilers.

1058 words.

Been a while, huh lovelies? Well, I come to you with a new K-pop obsession and book chapter. All in one neat little package. Happy thanksgiving, if you celebrate it, and make sure to stay healthy and warm during this winter season. Snow is pretty, but slips and falls on ice are not.

Read the chapter and at the end let me know, was the song I chose perfect for the given themes or kinda cliche?

A room full of mirrors... one broken... my knuckles stained with blood. Only, this time, it isn't a dream, and the images reflected back at me aren't myself. They're the world around me that I can't control. Control. Such an illusive word, something you lose when you can't change the fate that has befallen you... the fate brought about by Karma, good or bad. The Quirk I was supposed to possess, the thing I was supposed to use to control this society that thinks it's black and white, to throw the stars from their place in the night sky into this world of grey. Ironic, isn't it? Everything keeps coming back to control, karma, and fate.

Here, in the now, I can use none to my advantage. I can only watch as Fat Gum is drained of his life force from soul-sucking flowers that only Aoyama can now burn, as All Might fights a younger All for One that isn't as faceless as he used to be... as Midoriya barely holds back Shigaraki from killing everyone in the dome... as Edgeshot does his everything to save Bakugo's life as it slowly keeps slipping away with every drop of blood that fills the organs they aren't supposed to. Thankfully, some of the fighting has stopped: the island raid with the numerous Nomu now in custody, the hospital now clear of the hybrid riot and the person named Spinner who made it all happen, and the Twice copies are beginning to disappear into dust as his last bit of blood and Toga's life force are dragged into the abyss called death. The pure, dark void of weightless death.

I've been curious what it feels like to die, is your soul really freed into darkness without pain, or are you sent around the block again to find your way in another life? I guess some of my classmates... heroes... friends.. will be finding out soon enough.

Here I am, unable to fulfill my goal of preventing it all. Shackled by metaphorical chains as I'm forced to watch.

I reach out towards the image that I see, the one of All Might as he battles All for One in a custom made mech suit, a suit that utilizes the Quirks of all students in Class 1A. I was actually able to adjust the beautiful creation when he got back from America, and whoever this Melissa girl is, I want to desperately be her apprentice... well, if we get out of this crisis, that is.

My fingertips graze the sharp edge of the mirror, being that it's not in a frame, blood trickling down from my finger onto the gloomy image of All Might being blown from the majority, if not all of his armor. Yet, I feel... nothing. Even as more blood begins to drip faster and faster from my fingers, but I don't feel any sense of pain or the need to pull my hand away. It isn't until I hear a large, muffled explosion in another reflection that I realize what's happening, "Ow! Ow! Dammit!" I hiss, my hand automatically recoiling as I scoot over to look at what's going on in the barely floating island of U.A.

Bakugo gasps, eyes opening. He's alive. He's alive!  I touch the image warily, worried I might entrance myself into a mindless state once more. Explosions crackle from the sweat pooling on and around his body, suspended in the air are small explosions, somehow creating some kind of static electricity effect. Looking from behind Bakugo, I watch as he locks eyes with Midoriya in the distance.

The familiar sound from my villainous doings of a person choking on their own blood catches my attention back on the bloody mirror I cut my fingertips across. Now drying, my blood cakes the mirror I lost that much?  I watch as All Might is currently being ripped in half by All for One, his nasty injury on full display for the public to watch. This interaction seems to move in slow motion, but as I draw my gaze back to the wordless interaction between two old friends, Bakugo launches himself out of nowhere. It all happens in a flash, Midoriya catching him with an open hand and flinging Bakugo with the help of his Quirks, directly towards All Might.

In a flash, Bakugo is long past a dazed All for One with All Might in his arms, landing on a rooftop with as much grace as a bull in a China shop. Both parties skitter and roll into the rough landing, groaning as they hit the concrete of the building's roof, but alive. Thankfully, they're both still alive.

I wish I could help them...

Someone either on a walkie or a phone catches my attention on another reflection behind me, "Yes, I believe her Quirk is something to do with gravity, she needs immediate care." The whirring of helicopter blades draws my eyes to the screen, in the reflection the unconscious Uravity, also known as Uraraka, is being transported to the hospital. The blood loss she's gone through is absolutely insane, but at the same time, it seems Himeko Toga transformed for long enough to do some kind of blood transfer. Blood, of course blood is the answer. Blood is the answer!

Checking to see if Blood-tear still works, I find a glimmer of hope in that it still does something. It's not much, but I can create tears within the reflections. Sure, it probably only works on the one side, but what if it can work between reflections? Like, if I use Blood-tear in two mirrors, will they link to each other? Maybe even to me? I'm sure there's a mirror that's just a mirror in this maze of them somewhere. I can get out, I can leave this place and finally do something to help!

Wait... what about that thing I did before? The removing my consciousness from my body thing that got me into this mess. Could this just be my consciousness? Am I away from my body right now?  I scour the reflections in each mirror that surrounds me, searching for a sign that my body is out there somewhere and my mind is what's trapped in this mirrored cage. That's when I find it.

Now just to figure out a way to get Blood-tear to transport my consciousness back to my unconscious body.
