Jackson walks over to the desk where Iris is sitting and sees her with her head down on the table. He takes a seat next to her and gives her a gentle nudge.
Jackson: Hey Iris.
Iris: Hii!
Jackson: You okay? You seem a bit down today.
Iris: No, I'm alright. Just a Little bit tired.
Jackson: Are you sure? You look like you've been having a rough day.
Iris: Yes, I'm sure. Just leave it. (She sighed)Jackson can sense that something is bothering Iris, but he respects her boundaries and doesn't press further.
He nods and gives her a sympathetic smile.Jackson: Okay, I won't push it. But if you ever need to talk or anything, you know I'm here for you, right?
Iris: Hmmm.Jackson notices Iris's short response and can tell she's not really in the mood for talking. He leans back in his seat and decides to change the subject.
Jackson: So, have you heard about the upcoming party this weekend?
Iris: Which party?
Jackson: You know, the one that the seniors are throwing. It's supposed to be a big deal, like the last party of the semester before school ends.
Iris: Oh, are you invited ?
Jackson: Yeah, I am. The seniors sent out invites to a bunch of people. I'm assuming you got one too, right?
Iris: Not yet but I hope I get it!!
Jackson: Really? You haven't gotten an invite yet? I thought everyone would've gotten one already.
Iris: Maybe they don't know about me yet!
Jackson: That's hard to believe. I bet they just forgot about you on the list or something.
Iris: Maybe!
Jackson: Yeah, they probably just forgot about you. Can't blame them, you're not exactly the most memorable person after all.
Iris: What do you mean Jackson? 🤨
Jackson: Just kidding! You know I'm only messing with you.
Iris: Ofc , I know! Btw I was joking too!😁
Jackson: Oh, you were joking? I couldn't tell. You're always so dry and serious, it's hard to tell when you're joking or not.
Iris: Seriously 😑
Jackson: See? That's exactly what I mean. You're so serious all the time. You need to lighten up a bit, you know.
Iris: Shut up!
Jackson: Hey, don't get so mad. I'm just saying, you need to learn how to take a joke and chill out a bit.
Iris: Alright! Just chill. I'm not arguing now.
Jackson :Good, that's more like it. No need to get worked up about a little joke. You know I'm just playing with you, right?
Iris: Mhmm. They were giggling and talking to each other. Then suddenly Taehyung Entered the class with Amy, their arms linked. He gave a side eye to them. He hates Jackson. Jackson immediately noticed Taehyung's icy gaze directed at him. He gave him a smirk in return, knowing all too well that Taehyung despised him.
Taehyung's eyes narrowed as he saw Jackson's smirk. He had nothing but disdain for Jackson, and seeing him sitting so comfortably next to Iris only heightened his irritation.
Taehyung: I hate both of them so much.
Amy: Yeah, they're both annoying. But don't let them get to you, there's no point in wasting your energy on them.Taehyung let out a frustrated sigh, but knew Amy was probably right. He reluctantly tore his gaze away from Jackson and Iris and focused on the teacher, trying to ignore the duo sitting across from him.
Jackson leaned in closer to Iris, his arm brushed against hers as they continued talking.
Jackson: You know, sometimes I wonder why Taehyung hates me so much. I mean, sure, he's boring and serious all the time, but I thought he would at least appreciate my charming personality.
Iris: He hates you? We hate each other too! 😂😂
Jackson: Yeah, he definitely hates me. Or at least, he strongly dislikes me. He always gets all tense whenever I'm around him, and I swear I've seen him clenching his jaw like he's trying to control himself from strangling me or something.
Iris: I guess he just hates charming people like us. Don't you think.
Jackson: That must be it. He's just not used to being around people as charming and awesome as us. We're just too much for him to handle.
Iris: Or maybe he's just jealous of our impeccable charisma and charm. He can't handle the fact that we're cooler than him.
Jackson: Oh, that's definitely it. He's just envious of our effortless coolness. He wishes he could be as interesting and entertaining as we are, but unfortunately, he's just too serious and dull to pull it off.
Iris: Exactly. He's like a rain cloud, always bringing the mood down. And we're the bright sunshine, bringing cheer and joy wherever we go.
Jackson: Right!
Jackson: And you know what they say, the brighter the sunshine, the more irritating it is to clouds like Taehyung. We're like his own personal nemesis.
Iris: Alright! I'll just go to cafeteria now. I'm hungry.
Jackson: Alright, go satisfy your hunger. But remember, save some room for desserts, because you know the cafeteria loves to give us the most unhealthy options.
Iris: Oh, I'll make sure to save room for dessert don't worry. Can't resist those tempting brownies and cakes, they're too good to resist.
Jackson: Of course you can't. Just don't consume too much sugar, or you'll end up bouncing off the walls like a hyperactive bunny.
Iris: Byee!
Jackson: Bye! Try not to eat the entire cafeteria's worth of food, okay?
Iris: Aye aye, captain! No promises though.Jackson laughs as he watches her walk out of the class. He couldn't deny that he enjoyed their little banter. He let out a sigh and leaned back in his seat, ready for the next class to start.
Meanwhile Taehyung was watching every move of Iris. As much as he saw her , he realised he can never stand her.
