The next morning, Iris woke up feeling oddly refreshed. Despite the strange emotions stirred the previous day, she had slept surprisingly well, her body seeming to have found peace in the soft sheets of her bed.
She got out of bed, her mind a little less chaotic than usual, the memories of the day before seeming a little distant.Iris's heart lifted at the thought of a day off from the university. She had been feeling particularly tired lately due to the rigorous classes and assignments, and a day to relax and rejuvenate sounded like a much-needed break.
Iris: A day off.
she murmured to herself, her eyes widening in anticipation of a day free from all responsibilities. She sat up in bed, the covers pooled around her waist, and stretched her arms above her head. The sun streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow over her small apartment. Outside, she could hear the sounds of the city starting its day, but she had no desire to join in.
Iris: A day all to myself.
Meanwhile Taehyung was sitting at the dining table, a cup of coffee in front of him as he scrolled through his phone. His hair was messy, a few strands falling over his forehead, and a light stubble shadowed his chin, giving him a tired yet unfairly attractive look. He glanced up as he heard her footsteps, his gaze meeting hers.
Iris: You woke up early today!
Taehyung: I have to go somewhere.(Taehyung shrugged, taking a sip of coffee)His voice was still gravelly from just waking up, and he ran a hand through his tousled hair, only making it messier. His eyes roamed over her, taking in her sleepy appearance - from her messy hair to her wrinkled pajama shirt. He couldn't help but notice the casual attire, the way it hugged her curves and hinted at the soft skin beneath.
Taehyung: You just woke up?
he asked, his gaze returning to her face, his expression unreadable. Iris suddenly felt self-conscious under his gaze, her hand automatically going up to pat her messy hair.
Iris: Um, yeah, Just woke up.
She was acutely aware of the fact that she was standing there in her pajamas, her hair probably a tangled mess, while Taehyung was sitting calmly in the dining table looking as effortlessly attractive as ever.
Taehyung: You look...
Taehyung's eyes trailed down, taking in the sight of her messy hair, her wrinkled clothing. His gaze lingered on her pajama shirt for a moment, the fabric clinging to her body in a way that was both innocent and alluring.
He quickly looked away, his cheeks feeling inexplicably warm, his mind warring between annoyance, fascination, and something else.Iris: I'll go take a bath!
Taehyung mentally shook himself, trying to push away the confusing thoughts that was stirred by the sight of her.
Taehyung; Yeah, you do that.
he said gruffly, his voice a little hoarse. He turned his attention back to his phone, sipping his coffee in an attempt to appear nonchalant.
Once she shut the bathroom door behind her, Iris leaned against it, her heartbeat racing. She cursed herself for feeling so strangely off-balance whenever he looked at her like that. His gaze was like a physical touch, sending a shiver down her spine and making her heart beat faster.
She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. It was ridiculous, feeling like this just because he looked at her.Taehyung tried to concentrate on his phone, but his thoughts kept wandering back to her. He couldn't understand why the sight of her in her pajamas had affected him so much. Her tousled hair, her sleep-softened features, the way her pajamas clung to her curves...it had all sent his mind racing in a way it never had before. He shook his head, trying to focus on his phone once more, but the image of her was burned in his mind, making his heart race and his palms sweaty.
