Her heart skipped a beat as he called her "princess," the old nickname he used to tease her with. But instead of the usual mocking tone, his voice was soft, almost... affectionate? His words were a clear warning, a warning that she was testing his self-control, testing how far he was willing to go. She should pull away, should distance herself, but she found herself frozen, his gaze holding her captive.
He looked at her, his eyes dark and intense. There was a hint of desperation in his gaze, a hint that he was waging a silent battle within himself. His touch on her cheek was still gentle, but there was an underlying tension in his fingers, as if he was using all his willpower to hold himself back from doing something, something that he knew he shouldn't.
Iris: Stop looking at me like that then.
she managed to murmur, her voice a whisper, her heart hammering in her chest. He chuckled softly, the sound sending shivers down her spine.
Taehyung: You're not making it easy, princess.(he murmured back, his thumb still tracing light circles on her cheek) You're looking at me like that, all wide-eyed and innocent, and you expect me to remain a gentleman?
She tried to summon her usual defiance, to snap back with a sarcastic remark, but the way he was looking at her, his eyes burning with an intensity she'd never seen before, was making it difficult. She could feel the heat radiating off him, could smell his scent, a heady mix of musk and something uniquely his, and it was making her head spin.
Iris: I...I don't know what you mean.
she murmured, her voice betraying her growing confusion, her breath coming in short gasps..
Suddenly Jungkook entered and his sudden intrusion brought her back to reality with a jolt. She'd been so engrossed in the moment with Taehyung, his touch and his intense gaze, that she'd forgotten they weren't alone.
Jungkook's teasing smile made her realize how their close proximity would look to an outsider, but even then a part of her longed to remain in the bubble they'd created. She pulled back slightly, trying to seem nonchalant, her cheeks flushed a rosy pink.
Taehyung's expression mirrored hers, a mix of annoyance at the interruption and embarrassment at being caught in such an intimate moment. He shifted slightly, putting some space between himself and Iris, but his eyes lingered on her for a moment longer than necessary.
Jungkook didn't miss the tension, his teasing grin widening.Jungkook: What's going on here, huh? You two look like you've been caught doing something naughty.
She felt her face heat up even more under Jungkook's scrutiny, her heart racing from getting caught in such a vulnerable moment with Taehyung.
Taehyung shot Jungkook a glare, clearly annoyed at having their moment ruined.Taehyung: Mind your own business, Jeon,We were just...talking.
She made some hasty excuses and extricated herself from the situation, her heart still racing from the previous encounter and now the added stress of being teased by Jungkook. As she walked away, she could hear Taehyung and Jungkook still bantering in the background, but she didn't dare look back. Her mind was a whirl of confusion and conflicting emotions, her heart still racing from the intense moment she'd shared with Taehyung, and her cheeks still burning from Jungkook's teasing.
She managed to find a quiet corner to gather her thoughts, leaning against a wall and trying to calm her racing heart. Thoughts were swirling through her head - Taehyung's touch, his intense gaze, the way he'd called her "princess"... and Jungkook's teasing, the knowing look in his eyes.
She tried to push the thoughts away, to tell herself it was nothing, just a moment of weakness, but her heart wasn't listening.
