Iris glanced at Mingue, a bit taken aback by his question. She didn't know how to answer without giving away too much.
Iris: What do you mean by close?
Mingue: Oh, you know, close. Are you just friends, or is there something more? Taehyung is quite possessive of you, it seems.
Iris: We're just roommates that's it!
Mingue: Just roommates, huh? Well then, I wonder why Taehyung acted like a jealous boyfriend earlier. You two are definitely more than just roomies.
Iris: Maybe you're just imagining things.
Mingue: Oh, I don't think I'm imagining it, darling. The way he looked at you, clenched fists, and stormed off... That's not how roommates behave. Trust me, I know a jealous boyfriend when I see one.
Iris:Stop it now, Mingue! He's not my boyfriend!!!!
Mingue: Okay, okay, I'll stop. Can't blame me for being observant, though. Taehyung is just too obvious when it comes to you.
Iris: He's a jerk.
Mingue: Ah, Taehyung's got his moments, that's for sure. But deep down, he's just a bit possessive and protective. Though he does go about it in a rather... grumpy way.
Iris: I don't wanna talk about him.
Mingue: Fair enough, darling. We won't talk about him anymore. Let's chat about something else.He took a step closer to her, his demeanor changing slightly.
Mingue: Now, shall we find something more interesting to talk about? Perhaps, you and me?
Iris felt a sudden shift in the atmosphere as Mingue moved closer. Her heart skipped a beat, and she glanced at him uncertainty.
Iris: What do you mean?
Mingue stepped closer, his eyes fixed on hers. He leaned in slightly, a charming smile on his face.
Mingue: I mean, wouldn't it be much more interesting to talk about you and me instead of Taehyung's moods? I'm sure we have much more in common, don't you think?
Despite her apprehension, Iris couldn't deny that there was something charismatic about Mingue. His confidence and easygoing nature were alluring, even if they made her a bit uncomfortable. She forced a smile and attempted to keep things casual.
Iris: What could we possibly talk about?
Mingue: Well, there's plenty. Likes, dislikes, interests, dreams... You know, the usual stuff people talk about when they want to get to know each other.
Iris: You're such a flirt, Mingue!Mingue: What can I say? It's a talent of mine. And when I'm in the presence of a beautiful lady such as yourself, how could I not throw in a bit of charm?
Despite herself, Iris felt a faint flutter in her stomach at his compliment. It was hard not to react when he was so shamelessly flirting with her. She tried to keep her cool and retorted with a hint of sarcasm.
Iris: Oh, I'm sure you say that to every girl you meet.
Mingue: Not every girl, darling. Only the ones who catch my attention. And let's just say, you are exceptionally captivating.Iris felt a mix of flattery and discomfort. His relentless compliments and smooth demeanor were starting to wear her defenses down. She glanced away, trying to maintain her composure.
Iris: You really know how to lay it on thick, don't you?
Just as Iris and Mingue were in the midst of their conversation, a booming voice cut through the conversation.
Alex: Attention, all students! Miss Smith is calling for everyone back. Time to end the break!
Iris broke away from Mingue's gaze and looked in the direction of Miss Smith. She felt a sigh of relief mixed with disappointment - relief because she didn't know how much more of his intense flirting she could handle, and disappointment because part of her was enjoying their conversation.
She turned back to Mingue with a forced smile.
