You walk through the streets during your week long break. Today was the day that you would be going to check out the volleyball teams at Inarizaki. You were quite excited for it, since this was the only thing you had planned for the entire break.

Aran was already at the school, busy with practice. So you were walking by yourself. That didn't bother you, though. You had a lucky charm in the pocket of your sweatpants. Something that meant quite a bit to you since you received it. You reach into your pocket, holding it in his hand. A smile etched across your face, remembering that moment at your graduation. The moment that boy walked up to you and placed his second button in your hand. You hadn't seen him since that day, and you had no way of contacting him. You could contact Aran, Osamu, Shiro, Mai, Kiku, and Suki whenever you wanted.

But not Atsumu.

You slowly let go of Atsumu's button, pulling your hand out of your pocket as you walk through the gates of Inarizaki. You look around the campus as you head out the gym. You knew exactly where to go, since you received instructions how how to get to the gyms from Aran and the coach of the girls' team. You decided to head to the boys' gym first, since you might take a while to play with the girls' team.

You cautiously open the gym door, peeking your head inside. You look around, seeing the boys playing on a couple of courts. Your eyes widened as you realized there were so many players.

A few of the guys stopped when they noticed the door was open. Aran turned around to face the door, smiling at you. "Y/n, come on in! Meet my team!"

You slowly walk into the gym, a shy smile on your face. "Hi. I'm L/n Y/n. I'll be a first year here startin' next week. It's nice to meet ya all."

Aran walked over to you, leading you farther into the building. "This is the friend I was telling you about. She's always been a star player, with the highest jump of anyone I've ever seen. She's also really fast, and probably the strongest girl you'll ever meet."

A boy with silver hair and black tips walks over to you, a small smile on his face. "I'm Kita Shinsuke, one of the wing spikers on the team. Nice to meet you."

You ended up spending about an hour with the boys' volleyball club. You got to meet all of the players, and befriended some of them. The older boys offered to help you around the campus after you spend some time with the girls' club. You thanked all of them, then turned to leave the gym. You quickly find your way to the other volleyball gym, opening the door and walking inside.

"Um, hello. I'm L/n Y/n, the girl that'll be joinin' ya next week." You noticed that the girls' team was much smaller in numbers than the boys' team. "It's nice to meet ya." You bow, patting the button through the fabrics of your sweatpants. You stand back up, fixing a smile onto your face.

The coach of the team smiles at you. "Thanks for comin' and giving us an early club application. We really needa get better acquainted with ya, since yer the top player in the girls' division. Come on in. Let's start settlin' ya into the club. If things go well today, ya can come and practice with us for the rest of the week. Of course, ya'll be comin' to practices once school starts next week."

You nod. "I'm looking forward to it, ma'am."

"Call me coach Fukuda." She leads you farther into the gym, introducing you to the current members of the team. There were currently 17 girls between the second and third years that played on the team.

You met the captain, who was a middle blocker. "I'm Shinzo Mayumi. I'll be helpin' ya the moment yer a part of the team. Which should be from this moment forward."

You nod. For a few minutes, you get to know all the current members of the team. Once you were familiar with everyone, they threw you into their practices. You ended up standing out the most out of everyone on the team. The coach was impressed, seeing that you would be a valuable member for them.

Coach Fukuda claps once you've all been practicing for about an hour. "Good job everyone. Let's not make L/n get too sweaty. She still needs to walk 'round   the campus with some of the staff members. It was a pleasure to have ya 'ere, L/n. I think I speak for all of us when I say we can't wait to have ya at our next practice." She ends up handing you a paper schedule for the rest of break, letting you know when to show up, what to bring, and how things will go during practices.

Once you have all the information you need, you walk out of the gym and head to the main school building. You meet up with the principal and vice principal at the entrance to the school. They show you to your shoe locker, letting you change into the indoor slippers. The moment you were ready to walk through the building, the 2 adults lead you through the halls. They first showed you the first years' floor, showing you to your classroom.

The principal beams at you. "Since you got the best score on the entrance exam, you're currently the top student in class 7. We look forward to seeing what you can accomplish."

The vice principal nods. "And we heard that you're a star volleyball player. We look forward to seeing how you impact our team."

You nod, thanking the adults. Then, they continue to show you around the school. You take in all the new sights, smiling as you memorize everything about your new school.

By the time they finished with the tour, the sun was starting to go down. They bowed, saying their farewells to you, and claiming that it was a pleasure to meet you. You bow and say the same, saying how you were looking forward to being a part of Inarizaki starting next week.

You walk by yourself to the entrance gate of the school, sighing in content as your hand reaches into you pocket and grabs Atsumu's second button. A smile remains on your face as you walk all the way home, the little good luck trinket in your hand the whole time.

You were really looking forward to high school.
