Your mind was teeming as you rode the train. The inter high was taking place in Nagano this year, so both volleyball clubs were on the train to get there. You looked out the window, taking in all the sights outside. You let out a sigh, leaning your head against the glass.

Mai, sitting next to you, heard your sigh. "Is everything alright, Y/n?"

You slowly turn to face her, peeling your head away from the window. "Just thinkin'."

She shifts in her deat, fulling facing you with an interested look on her face. "Whatcha thinking about?"

You sigh, lowering your voice so that no one else would be able to hear. "Shiro asked me on a date for when we get back after the inter high."

She gasped, putting her hands over her mouth. "You're kidding."

You shake your head. "He really did. That night when I went with 'im after practice. Actually, I never told ya what happened. Sumu came up to me, noticed Shiro with me, then yelled at me. He grabbed me by the collar, slapped me, then through me to the ground roughly."

Mai looked shocked. "Atsumu didn't really do that, did he?"

You nod. "He did. Shiro helped me up, took me home. We did our homework together, then I started cryin' on my bed. He came over to comfort me, then asked me on the date."

The taller girl took in this information. "What did you say to him?"

"I just said that I needed time to think bout it."

"Did Atsumu try talking to you after all that?"

"No. He's just been avoidin' me. But, I guess I've also been avoidin' 'im."

Mai scoffed. "You avoiding Atsumu is justified. But he should be trying to beg for your forgiveness. His actions are unforgiveable! I mean, who in their right mind would do something like that?"

You look at the ground. "I dunno how to feel. I still like Sumu, but all this is too much. He hasn't been kind to me since before the tournament stuff. I thought we were fine, but this month has been horrible. I've even start distancing myself from Samu and Rin because of this. And I dunno if I even wanna eat with any of the guys in the volleyball club. Whenever I'm 'round 'em, they just try to talk bout Sumu. I'm startin' to think I should take Shiro up on his offer to eat with the soccer club."

"He offered to let you sit with the soccer club?!" Her voice raised slightly.

You shush her, not wanting anyone to hear. "This past week, the day after he asked me out. I'm thinkin' bout either eatin' with 'im, or joinin' the rest of our club."

Mai sighs, eyes wavering. "I'll go wherever you go. Just keep that in mind when you're making your decision."

"Of course. Oh, and please don't say a word bout this to anyone."

"I won't." Even though she really wanted to let the guys know the situation, she wouldn't betray your trust.

Osamu walked over, yawning. He sits in one of the empty seats across from you and Mai. "Hey. How ya doin'?"

Mai smiles at him. "Pretty good. We're just talking. How are you doing with this long train ride?"

"I been sleepin'. Suna and the others are also out cold. But I got moved outta my seat by Suki wantin' to sit with Suna, and Kiku is sittin' next to Sumu. I know he's asleep, but I have a feelin' he's not in a good mood." He looks over at you.

You went back to looking out the window, drowning out the conversation with your thoughts. You tried to focus on the scenery, but your current situation was bothering you.

Osamu raised a brow. "What's with Y/n?"

Mai glanced at you. "She's got a lot on her mind. And I found out your brother physically hurt her." She had eyes, telling him that you told her about what they saw that night.

The grey haired twin sighed. "Of course he did. He's bein' stupid, Y/n. Don't hold it against 'im. He's gonna make it up to ya real soon. I promise."

You hum, not really hearing what he said. "Kay."

Mai pulled you away from the window, gaining your full attention. "I know you didn't hear a word he just said. Atsumu's gonna make up for being an ass soon."

You roll your eyes. "He can try whatever he wants. It's not gonna fix what he did."

Osamu furrowed his brows. "Look, Y/n, I know he hasn't been the nicest person to ya. But I swear he doesn't mean to treat ya like that. He just needs to cool down and get his shit together. Yer gonna see changes during this tournament, I promise ya."

You hold a look of disbelief on your face. "He better change, if he wants to ever talk to me again."

"Yer not that mad at 'im, are ya?"

You scoff. "Of course I am. He slapped me. I'm not forgivin' that easily."

Osamu silently prays that his brother has a good plan up his sleeve. "I don't think he can get any worse."

"Who knows what he's capable of." You turn back to the window.

Mai throws her hands up in defeat. "We've got serious problems, Samu. Please tell me you know what Atsumu's plan is."

He shakes his head. "No clue. He refused to tell me anythin' other than it's gonna be good. Not gonna lie, I'm kinda scared."

"You and me both." She nervously looks at you for a few seconds, then turns back to Osamu. "She's seriously considering her options. She's getting to the point where she might not eat lunch with anyone from the boys' team anymore."

Osamu's eyes go wide. "That's one of the last things we need right now."

"I'm aware."

He runs a hand over his face. "Dammit, Sumu. Why'd ya gotta get jealous at the worst time?"
