Mai looks at you, a worried expression on her face as you get changed into your school uniform. "Are you doing alright today, Y/n?"

You give her a bright smile. "Never been better!"

After what she saw last night, she had some doubts. "If you say so."

Suki smiled at you. "What's got ya in a good mood, Y/n?"

"I'm thinkin' bout gettin' into a relationship."

Mai, Suki, and Kiku looked at you with wide eyes. "What?!"

You raise a brow at them. "Is somethin' wrong?"

Mai looks at you, completely in disbelief. "That's what you come to?"

Suki looks excited. "Ya never seemed interest in havin' a relationship before. What changed yer mind?"

You shrug, grabbing your school bag and slinging it over your shoulder. "Some things came up recently, and I was told it might help to get into a relationship. I'm willin' to give a guy a shot. What's the worst that could happen?"

Kiku squeals. "Oh my god! Now I can help you find a guy! What are you interested in?"

You hum. "I guess it's important that he plays a sport."

Suki grabbed your hands and held them tightly in her own. "Why not Shiro? He's perfect for ya!"

"Uh, I was thinkin' someone like Kita-senpai originally. Why Shiro?"

"Why not Shiro? He already has a thing for ya, and I bet he'd be more than happy to take ya on a date after practice." Suki let go of your hands, bouncing around the locker room. "My ship can finally sail!"

Mai grabs your wrist, pulling you into the empty gym. "What are you thinking? What about Atsumu?"

"Kita-senpai gave me this advice after I told 'im everythin'. And what's the harm in this? Sumu can be with whoever he wants, and I can find happiness with someone that won't hurt me."

She sighs. "You're out of your mind. This isn't gonna work. You're gonna end up hurting whoever you get with by still having feelings for Atsumu. Think carefully before you actually do this, Y/n. Doesn't this whole thing sound crazy to you?"

"Well, duh. Of course it's crazy. I know this is probably one of the worst things I could ever do, but I don't really have any options. I'll wait until after the inter high to think bout actually goin' through with this. Trust me, I'm plannin' on doin' somethin' good."

"If you say so." She holds doubt in her gaze.

You try flashing a reassuring smile. "It'll be fine. I'm not gonna rush into somethin'. I'm not gonna do anythin' while volleyball matches are on the line. Volleyball is my first priority. Ya got nothin' to worry bout."

"I feel like I do, but you probably don't wanna hear it."

You look at her with a confused expression. "Huh?"

She doesn't get the chance to say anything. Suki and Kiku come out, hugging you tightly and rubbing their faces up against you. They were cooing, saying things along the lines of being happy that you're finally ready for a relationship.

You manage to get them off of you and walk out of the gym, the girls following you. "Look, ya don't needa get so excited. It's not a big deal."

"What's not a big deal?" Kita's voice comes from just in front of you.

You flinch, then smiled at the older boy. "Oh, I'm just thinkin' of followin' yer advice. I let the girls know my idea, and Kiku and Suki are gettin' a little excited bout it."

He blinks, taking in your happy demeanor. "I see. Well, I hope things work out for you." He still had no confidence that he gave you the right advice. He holds some doubts about what he had told you.

Kiku quickly jumps when she sees Atsumu. "Atsumu-kun! Why don't we walk to class together?"

You felt a pain in your chest. "Ow."

Kita looked at you, mildly concerned. "Are you ok?"

"I'm in pain, senpai."

Mai puts her hand on your shoulder. "This is why I think the last thing you need is a relationship, Y/n. You're only gonna hurt someone that genuinely likes you."

You turn to Kita. "Or someone that knows my intentions. Kita-senpai, would ya consider goin' on a date with me after the inter high?"

The silver haired boy's eyes widened. "Me? Why me?"

You smile. "It was yer idea. And why not? We can just try it. If ya don't want to, we don't have to."

"I'll think about it. You'll get an answer after the inter high."

"Alright."

Atsumu yanked his arm away from Kiku. "Stop touchin' me, ya squealin' pig. I don't care bout ya."

Kiku pouted. "What about that kiss after the finals?"

"It meant nothin' to me. I was just teachin' someone a lesson." He turns away from her, eyes landing on you. "Y/n. Come 'ere."

You freeze, your heart racing underneath your ribcage. "Uh, sorry, I have somewhere to be." You try running away.

But he grabs you. "We needa talk."

"I'm not talkin' to ya! I hate yer guts! Leave me alone already!"

His grip loosens, and you take that chance to run away. Atsumu felt his heart crack. "She hates me?"

Mai holds her face in her hands. "Oh no. This isn't gonna end well."

"You didn't fix anything. Atsumu is upset right now." Kita was lecturing you on the roof at lunch, not wanting anyone else around as he was trying to get through to you. "If anything, you could've just made a bigger mess. Why didn't you just try talking things out with him?"

"I don't wanna talk to 'im. Not after what he did."

He sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Go talk to him."

"No."

"L/n, please."

"No way. Not happenin'."

Kita grabs your shoulders, looking you in the eyes. "Look, you're going to have to talk to him. That's the only way things can get better."

"But, last night you said -"

"Forget what I said. I didn't know what kind of advice to give you. Go talk to Atsumu. Please."

You sigh. "Fine, I'll go talk to 'im."

You and Kita walk to the lunch room. The older boy leads you over to where Atsumu was sitting with Osamu, Suna, Kiku, and Suki.

Kita clears his throat. "Atsumu, do you mind giving a bit of your time?"

"Not at all." He turns to see Kita, eyes going wide. "What do ya need, Kita-san?"

He pushes you in front of him. "Please talk with L/n. I feel like there's something you need to discuss."

Atsumu quickly stands up, grabbing your wrist. "Yeah. Thanks, Kita-san." He drags you off to somewhere outside of the school. "What's goin' on between Kita-san and ya?"

You look at him, knowing your heart was beating uncontrollably. "He just wanted me to talk to ya after this mornin'. What did ya haev to say?" You cross your arms over your chest, after getting out of his grip.

The fake blond sighed. "Ya know how the inter high is comin' up?"

"Yeah. What bout it?"

"I was wonderin'... did ya wanna try sharin' a room?"

"No way." You start turning away from him.

"Why not?"

You turn your head, glaring at him. "Why don't ya ask Kiku instead, since ya like 'er so much." You walk away, not letting him say another word.
