Months passed, and you continued doing things like normal. At first, nothing seemed off. You were able to juggle school, volleyball, and a relationship with Atsumu. Everything seemed fine. And as October rolled around, meaning the qualifiers for the spring nationals were ready to take place in Hyogo, something felt off.

Every morning you'd throw up until around midday. You had on/off fevers randomly. You had specific food cravings. And the worst of the bunch were the mood swings that would hit at various points and become so severe that your own team and family became worried for you, but they also got scared whenever you walked into a room they were in. No one knew what was going to happen with you, but that made them wary of your entire being.

You decided that after you win the qualifiers for the prefecture, you would go to a doctor to find out what was going on. You had your suspicions on what was going on, considering you haven't forgotten the night you and Atsumu had gotten together. The events of that night constantly run through your head. And you knew there was a good chance that you were currently carrying Atsumu's child within you.

But the setter had no clue about any of this. He thought everything was normal for, considering he knew nothing about the symptoms you were dealing with. Occasionally he hears about how unstable you can be, considering Mai and Suki tell Suna and Osamu often. But the fake blond simply thought you were feeling pressure to do well during this tournament. He remembered the night you and him got together, but a few details have slipped his mind. Miya Atsumu completely forgot that he came in you multiple times.

And so, as the days go by, you become anxious at the thought of getting results from a doctor. You were almost completely positive that you were gonna have a baby with your boyfriend. You also tracked your period, realizing it hasn't come since you and Atsumu had sex. You doubted the possibility that you weren't pregnant. You could almost see the results from the doctor.

Mai groans as she stretches in the locker room, as you all get ready to go home. "Are you ok, Y/n? You've been kinda... different for the past 4 months. Ever since we lost at the inter high, you've been all over the place. I mean, we've definitely gotten stronger, but it still concerns me. Wanna tell me what's going on?"

You look around, seeing the last of the other members leave the locker room. "Ok, so, ya know how Sumu and I had our little fun at night durin' the inter high?"

"Yeah? What about it?"

You lower your voice, even though there was no one else around that could hear it. "I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant."

Mai raises her voice. "What?! Was there no protection?! How could you be pregnant?!"

"Sh! Keep it down, just in case there's someone else 'round. We kinda just did things in the spur of the moment. We didn't fully think bout consequences."

She was in complete disbelief. "Did he not pull out?"

You look away from her. "I kinda wouldn't let 'im."

The taller girl harshly smacks your arm. "That was so stupid of you! What about your volleyball career?!"

"I'll figure it out. If I really am pregnant, I'm gonna get a larger jersey and track jacket to cover it up for the nationals. But keep it quiet! Don't tell anyone until I find out for sure and let Sumu know."

"Oh my god. This is the most irresponsible thing you've ever done. Even dating Shiro was smarter than this!" Mai threw her hands into the air, clearly unhappy with this bit of news.

You sigh. "I know it wasn't my best idea, but it was a romantic moment between me and Sumu."

"Y/n! We're talking about you having a baby! We're still in high school! I don't care about how this happened! What matters is that this is actually happening!" She started pacing around the locker room. "Have you lost your mind this time?!"

You grab your bag, slinging it over your shoulder and closing your locker. "Who knows. I already have things planned out, if I really am gonna have a baby. I'll take care of this. There's nothing to worry bout."

She calms herself down. "Alright. I'll trust you."

"Good. Now, let's get goin'. We have a tournament to play in tomorrow." You walk out of the locker room with her, making your way to the exit of the gym.

Your friend takes a deep breath as she walks into the night. "You better let Atsumu know the moment you find out. When are you gonna get tested?"

"After finals. I plan on goin' to the doctor the night after the last match we play." You look ahead, not yet spotting any of the boys. "I'll let ya know what's goin' on the next day."

"Somethin' goin' on?" A familiar voice sounds from right behind you.

You jump, whipping around to face him. "S-Sumu! Don't just sneak up on me!"

Atsumu raises a brow at you, suspicion in his eyes. "Are ya hidin' somethin' from me?"

"No. Why would you think that?"

"Ya just said ya were gonna let 'er know what's goin' on the next day. So tell me, what's goin' on?"

You look away, trying to get help from your best friend. "Uh, it's nothin' really? Right, Mai?"

Mai just blinked, not happy that you brought her into this. "Y/n's been feeling a little unwell, but won't get checked until after the qualifiers. So, after she finds out what's wrong with her, she'll tell me."

You grit your teeth. "Way to throw me under the bus."

"Hey, you started it."

Atsumu looked at you, worry in his eyes. "Yer not feelin' well?"

You shrug, refusing to make eye contact with him. "Just feelin' a little sick. Nothin' to worry bout."

"That's kinda worryin', though. If it's serious, ya should go get checked out now."

You try laughing it off. "No, seriously. It's not a big deal. It doesn't bother me. It can wait."

He hums, looking at you carefully. "If ya say so." He was gonna start keeping a close eye on you from this moment forward.
