"Good luck." He kisses you, pushing your back up against the wall of the stadium building. He cups your face in his hands, pulling you even closer to him. When he moves away, he has a hungry look in his eyes, as if that wasn't enough. It wasn't enough, not for him. He wanted more. More of you. But this wasn't the time or place for it.

You felt as if you were in a daze, but you were able to snap out of it enough to face reality. "G-good luck. I hope ya win."

Atsumu smiles at you, kissing your forehead. "I will. Ya needa win and join me. We're winnin' this whole tournament, then goin' to the inter high together." He has a look of longing as he starts backing away from you, eventually turning his back to you and walking back to his own team.

You take deep breaths, hoping to calm your racing heart. You slowly walk back to your team, remaining silent even if they acknowledge your presence.

Mai walks over to you, setting her hand on your shoulder. "You good? You look out of it."

You nod, feeling like you were moving in slow motion. "Sumu and I were just sayin' good luck to each other. I'm still tryna get used to him bein' nice to me like that."

Suki comes over. "Ya know, Shiro is 'ere. He came with some others from our school to cheer on the volleyball teams. Ya should send a smile and wave 'is way."

You shake your head. "Enough with that already. I have no interest in Shiro like that."

She tips her head to one side. "Is there anyone ya like?"

You tense, heat building in your face. Thoughts of a certain fake blond setter come to mind, but you refuse admit that to anyone. "No, I don't. I'm too busy with school and volleyball. I don't have the time or interest in relationships."

Mayumi claps her hands, getting everyone's attention. "Listen up, everyone! We're boutta go onto the court to start warm ups. Let's go!" She leads the team into the gym.

Suna yawned. "We don't play for a few hours. Why did we come so early?"

Osamu shrugged. "Dunno. But this gives us time to watch the girls play. Ya said ya wanted to see Suki play, didn't ya, Suna?"

The middle blocker nods. "Yeah. She wanted me to check the team out, even though she's not sure if she'll actually get put onto the court during the game."

The grey haired wing spikers hums. "Yeah. Mai ain't gonna be on the court either, unless somethin' comes up durin' the game."

Atsumu walks beside his twin, looking forward as they walked through the building. "Hurry up. I wanna find a good spot to see 'em play."

Osamu grinned. "Ya just wanna see Y/n."

"So what?"

Aran followed behind the 3 first years. "I also wanna see Y/n. It's been a while since I last saw her play. I get Atsumu's excitement for this match."

Suna snickered. "Nah, Atsumu just wants to see Y/n cuz he likes her."

Osamu nodded. "For once in his life, he doesn't care bout volleyball. He's only gonna have eyes on Y/n."

Atsumu's face contorted in annoyance. "Shut yer traps."

The boys' team found spots near where the rest of the Inarizaki students were settled. The boys took the first row, sitting in seats that had a great view of the court.

Atsumu scanned the court until his eyes finally land on your figure. "She looks like she's in good form."

Osamu crosses his arms over his chest, a smirk resting on his face. "Ya only have eyes for Y/n. I dunno if she should be lucky or unfortunate."

The fake blond glares at his twin. "Shut it. We all know Y/n's one of the best players our age."

Suna leans back in his chair, hands in his track suit's jacket pocket. "I haven't seen her play yet, so I'm kinda interested to see that."

They continue watching the court as warm ups come to an end. You and your teammates lineup, getting ready to bow to your opponents before starting the match. Excitment was bubbled in you as you got into position on the court with your upperclassmen.

One of the girls squeals, looking into the stands. 'The boys' team came to see us!"

Another one looked up. "Oh my god, Atsumu-kun is paying attention to us!"

You looks up, making eye contact with the setter. You wave, sending a smile to your friends on the boys' team. Then you turn back to face the team on the other side of the net. You focus in on the match as the first serve goes over the net. The other team sends the ball over to your side of the net. The ball was heading right to you. Within a split second, you sent the ball perfectly to your setter. And so, the game began.

"L/n, get the last one over!" Mayumi calls out to you and she sends the ball to the setter.

You begin your running approach, but see that the setter made a mistake. It went higher than she planned, and it went to the opposite side of the court. You go full speed to the other side of the court, jumping to your highest point. With all the strength left in your body, you slam the ball to the other side of the net. You watch it bounce high and away from the court, a grin on your face as you land gracefully.

The referee blew the whistle, signalling the end of the match. Your team cheered, crowding around you in a group hug. The girls were cheering, so much going on that there was no coherency to you. When everyone backs away from you, you finally look up at the stands again. The last time you looked up, the game had just been getting ready to start. You make eye contact with Atsumu, who just stood up from his seat. He smiles at you, giving you a thumbs up. You smile back at him, a giggle slipping past your lips.

Mai slings her arm over your shoulders. "Come on, if we hurry up, you might get the chance to talk to him before they get on the court."

You nod, quickly walking off the court with her. "I wanna watch their game too."

"Let's do it then."

The entire girls' team walks out of the court, soon running right into the boys team. You were getting ready to walk up to Atsumu, but someone else beat you to it.

Kiku threw herself at the boy, wrapping her arms around him. "Atsumu-kun! Good luck! I know you can win!"

Something in you seemed to go off, making you feel angry just from seeing your friend touching him. You turn away, walking off to the stands.

Mai quickly follows after you. "Sorry, Samu, I gotta go keep up with her. I'll see you later. We'll be watching your match. Good luck." She runs, catching up to you. "What was that about?"

"I hate seein' Kiku do shit like that with Sumu."

Mai understood immediately, but doesn't say anything as you 2 continue to walk to the stands together. 'She's jealous.'
