earth kills

i stare at the stars as Finn sleeps next to me. i think about how much i hate my father, for choosing work over my mom. 

watching her get floated, when i was only 9 years old. and my father telling me how he won't stop it because she broke the law. all because she was against jaha, and his choices. 8 years, it's been 8 years without my mom, since i started hating my dad. i never was close with him, but after moms death. we really drifted, 

i sniffle and wipe my face from the few tears. i hear jasper groaning inside the dropship. i look at finn and smile softly. i lay back down next to him, "you're awake?" he mumbles, keeping his eyes closed. "so are you"

he slowly opens his eyes, "what's on your mind?" he asks. i shrug, "my mom" 

he looks in my eyes and i feel him grab my hand. "you ok?"

i nod. "just missing her, that's all" i lean in and kiss him. "go back to sleep, i'm fine" 

"hm" he hums. i scoot closer to him, to feel safe. "goodnight princess"

"goodnight finn"

...

i walk over and see murphy miss the tree. "that damn kid, he's messing with my head" he says, i chuckle. "that's not gonna last much longer, better think of a new excuse" bellamy says throwing the axe. he looks at me. 

i pick up murphy's knife. "it's ok if you suck murphy. we can't all have pin point accuracy" i say. he glares at me, "then you do it princess" bellamy says. "don't call me that, but i will"

i walk over in front of him. "your position is wrong" he says. i turn and look at him, "i think it's fine"

i turn back and look at the tree. i throw the knife it hitting the tree perfectly. 

"we searched a half-mile all directions. no sign of Trina or pascal" atom says walking up to us. "visit your special tree when you were out there?" murphy says going to grab his knife. "atom took his punishment. let him go" bellamy says, "it could be grounders" atom states. "yeah, or they could be in pound town. lot of that going around recently"

i look at murphy, "just because you can't get anyone to screw you. doesn't mean you be a bitch to others"

"if i wanted too, i could get you" he says stepping closer. "in your dreams" he looks at me. "but nice try though" 

"look, bellamy, people are scared, and that dying kid. he's not helping the morale around here"

"that dying kid has a name atom" 

"morale will go up when i find them more food"

"and what do we say when they ask about Trina and pascal?" 

"they probably ran off, because Bellamy and his dumb laws" i state. "now. nothing, it's possible they got lost. we'll keep an eye out when we go hunting later" Bellamy says ignoring my comment. "let's go kill something" i roll my eyes, at murphy's comment. "you're not going. i need you to stay here, grounders are circling we can't leave this place unprotected" i chuckle. 

"fine. somebody better tell goggle boy to keep it shut" i step up to murphy, "his name, is jasper" i say. "well jasper needs to shut it"

"so do you but yet, you keep running your mouth"

he glares at me, "what? am i wrong" he huffs and i roll my eyes. i walk away leaving him there, i go up to jasper, monty, finn and clarke.

"how's he doing?" i ask. "monty!" clarke says, i look at him sadly. "that would be a firm no"

"my mother would know what to do"

"how's he doing" wells asks right behind me. "how does it look like he's doing wells?"
