survival of the fittest

"open the gate!" i hear, i watch as grounders walk into the camp, my father walks in front of her, they start talking and i turn walking inside.

"thank you for agreeing to this indra" my father says, i walk in front of them. "we're here on commanders orders, i agreed to nothing"

"please, we'll begin in a moment, kaleigh show them to the meeting room" i look at him and nod. "follow me" i say turning and continuing to walk into the meeting room where tons of my people are. "make yourselves at home, my father will begin in a moment" i walk over to octavia, "any word from bellamy?" i ask, she shakes her head. "nothing, just that damn message from jasper" i nod. 

"quiet down" my father says, i cross my arms as he has indra walk with him to the middle. "don't worry my shock batons got your back" on of our guards say, "how about you stick it up your ass instead?" octavia snaps, i chuckle. 

"i know we don't have alot in common. but we do have a common enemy, and a common goal. and for us to reach it, to get our people out of mount weather. we need to work together" he says looking at indra.

"ogeda, Skaikru. en Trikru" my father says. on our way back. octavia taught us what she knew about their language.

suddenly murphy pushes a grounder, everyone stares at him. "mr. murphy, apologize to that man" my father says, "for what. he was the one who came at me"

"two days, work detail"

"work detail? i just told you i didn't-"

"care to make it three?"

"murphy, just go" i say. he looks at me, he starts walking away but the grounder mumbles something. murphy stops walking and they start fighting. "oh for fucks sake"

everyone starts fighting and i look at my father. i grab the shock baton from the guard that was behind us, i run over stabbing murphy with it. he falls to the ground and everyone stops looking at me, "anyone else?" i yell. my father looks at me, "kaleigh-"

"you deal with them. i'll handle murphy" he nods and i look at the grounders, i grab murphy off the ground and take him out of the room. "what the hell are you thinking?" i ask as i drag him to a different room. "i didn't do anything, he started it" 

we get to my room and i throw him off of me, "we're trying to work with an alliance here. not fight them"

"i didn't start it!"

"no but you caused that fight today. because you couldn't walk away. just like you caused charlotte to kill herself" he looks at me. "i didn't-"

"no. my father said work detail for 2 days, but until you can control your god damn anger. your on work detail until further notice"

"you can't do that you're not the chancellor" he says, "but i am in charge of you! don't forget who saved you from being killed, time and time again" i state. he looks at me, "work detail, until i think you've done enough got it?"

"yes ma'am" he says. he stands up walking out of the room,

i follow walking out of the ark.

i stand next to my father watching them fight, "impressive. aren't they?" he says, "what doesn't kill them. makes them stronger"

indra yells something and octavia walks past me, "i am" she walks over to indra, 

"i put murphy on work detail until further notice" i say. he looks at me, "i don't think you can make that call" he says. i look at him, "i can when until clarke gets back. she gave me the orders to take care of my people, you deal with the grounders. i deal with our people"
