"kaleigh" i open my eyes and look at my dad, "dad, you're awake" he nods. i smile and stand up, "let me get abby"

i run out of the room and see abby, "he's awake!" she looks at me and immediately starts running towards me. we run back into the room and she stops moving staring at him, "i'll give you a moment" i mumble. i turn around, "wait" i hear my father say. i turn and look at him, "hmm"

"i love you too" i nod. i walk out and look around, everyone that is here. walking around, working to make this our new home. while we have grounders camped outside in the woods, 47 of our friends locked away in a  mountain, and bellamy in there trying to get us in.

clarke and lexa running, to save themselves. "kaleigh" i turn and see abby, "how's your leg and arm?" she asks. "i'll be fine" she nods. "your father wants you" i nod and walk into medical. "hi" i mumble, he smiles and grunts, "how are you doing?" i ask. "could be better? you know if bellamy got the fog down?" he asks. i shake my head, "no not yet"

suddenly we hear people yelling. i run out of medical and see flares, "he did it"

i run back inside. "he did it, he got the fog down" my dad tries moving but i stop him. "don't, you still need to rest"

he nods, "i'm gonna go get raven, we're gonna save our people" i mumble,

i go to walk out of the room, "kaybear" i turn at the name, "kaybear? i haven't been called that since-"

"since mom died, i know"

"you never called me that, why now?"

"i want you to know i'm proud of you" i smile sadly. "thanks dad"

i look down, "maybe i don't hate you as much as i used too, knowing you could've been down there, dead. because of me-"

"it wasn't your fault" i roll my eyes, "i knew and i didn't get anyone out, i didn't get you out. it is my fault" he shakes his head, "you were waiting for orders. you did nothing wrong" i nod, "but it's good to know you don't hate me anymore" i chuckle. "yea, still hate you. just a little bit less" he nods. "go, you have a war to win" i smile.

"we all do"
