wanheda part 2

we've been sitting in the rover for hours waiting for the grounders to attack. "it's been 3 hours. what are they waiting for?" bellamy says sitting next to me. "even with the light i don't see anyone" i mumble. "i say we make a run for it" monty adds. "no, that's what they want us to do" my father mumbles, "so? if we run they can't get us" i add. he looks at me, "no"

"the boy and girl are right. they can wait longer than we can" indra says. i look at bellamy, "ok, bellamy. you get in the turret, and you cover us. once we get to that ridge over there, we'll cover you"

i look at my father. "no, that's too risky" i say, my father looks at me. "there's no other choice" 

"i'll do it, you guys make a run for it ok?" i say moving towards the turret. "no, kaleigh go with them" i look at bellamy, i hate when he does this. "run fast" he says standing up. i look at my father, "if he dies-"

"he won't" i nod slowly. 

"they're here" he says. "everybody out of the boy dies" 

suddenly bellamy gets lifted out of the rover. "bellamy"

"ok, we're coming. don't hurt him" i open the door quickly putting my gun down. suddenly i get yanked to the floor, i wince. "don't hurt her!" bellamy says. i look at him as they shove my head into the ground. "all targets secured" a woman yells picking monty up. "found it"

"that's mine, give it back" i can't see what's going on. "monty let it go" bellamy yells. "monty?" we hear the woman say. "mom?" my eyes widen,

monty's mom? 

i remember when i was a kid i'd stay with monty and his family for days on end. she was funny, and an amazing cook. 

i hear her sigh, "farm station stand down" 

 "pike" my dad mumbles. "you have no idea how good it is to see you" pike says.

"we didn't think you made it" my father adds. "lacroix, smith. watch our six. everyone else, i said stand down" the guy gets off my back, and i stand up, bellamy helps me. "you ok?" i nod, "how about you?" i ask, "i'm fine" 

"where's dad?" monty asks. i step closer to them, "your father didn't make it" she mumbles. i sigh, 

"grounder killers one and all. am i right!" i hear pike say. the others shout in agreement, i look at my father and slowly shake my head. "kaleigh" i turn and see hannah looking at me. i smile, "hi"

"it's so good to see you. thank you for looking after my boy" 

"we looked after each other" i say as she hugs me. i look at indra, 

i pull away from hannah. "i'll be right back" i walk over to indra. "you need to get out of here" i mumble, "we need to find clarke"

"but we need you to stay alive. if they find out you're not apart of arkadia, they're gonna kill you. and break the truce"

"then they won't find out" she says. i look at my father. "ok, move the tree" 

"help them" pike yells. i walk over to the tree, "not you kaleigh" my father says. i roll my eyes and walk over to them, "how many of you are there?"

"63" pike says. "63? farm station left over with three times that number" 

"we landed with that number too" he says looking at indra. "the ice nation can be ruthless. take pride in the number you saved" indra says. "indra. this is charles pike. he was a teacher on the ark" 

"this is indra, she's the leader of trikru our trusted ally" why would my father tell him, "i'll have to take your word for it" i look at indra,

i look at the boys. "kane, it's time to go" bellamy yells. "monty, give them the coordinates to arkadia" i shake my head. they should not be going to arkadia, "we have a settlement 50 miles south of here. your people will be safe there"
