Road Trip!- Five x GNReader

A/N: Ehehe I'm back with real stories now! I still haven't watched season 4 so once again please don't spoil! I also haven't written a full story like this in about a year or 2 so I may be a little rusty, just bear with me!

PLEASE READ! Before I start just to preface this story: Five and Y/N are married in this fic. This will also spoil basically an entire episode in season 3, you've been warned!

READERS SECOND PERSON POV:

It all started with Klaus annoying Five into going on a road trip with him. Which in turn led to Five annoying YOU to also attend said road trip.

You're sitting at your desk simply doodling whatever comes to mind when the calm silence is broken with a distinct *pop* and suddenly a distraught looking Five is looming over your shoulder. The suddenness of his appearance startles you momentarily before you reign yourself in enough to begin questioning him. Though before you can start Five begins rambling, "I can't believe Klaus would force me into such a thing, just as we start our retirement! You have GOT to help me out here love I seriously can't do this alone today-" you realize he'll go on forever if you don't stop him. "FIVE!" He falls silent and sheepishly smiles "yes dear?" You scoff at his attempt of playing coy. "What's going on, you scared the hell out of me." "Sorry, love" his eyes sparkle with mischief so you know he's not totally sorry. You decide on not calling him out as he goes to explain. "Klaus managed to convince me into going on a road trip with him... you have to come too. I seriously cannot sit in a car with him for more than 2 minutes without wishing death upon either him or me...or both." He looks to you as if he's delivered this terrible news that'll negatively affect your life from that moment on. Terrible for him maybe, but amazing for you.

You jump up with a huge smile "WE GET TO GO ON A ROAD TRIP?!" He looks slightly taken aback which is a sight you rarely get to see. "You actually WANT to go?" His head tilts with pure confusion as he says this. You can't understand why, "don't be a grump Five! Of course, I'd love to spend our first day of retirement on a road trip together... even if Klaus is third wheeling." Saying that prompts you to quickly add on, "actually why does Klaus want to go on this trip?"

The happiness that briefly shows on Fives face, due to witnessing your excitement, drops just as fast. "I have no idea what that idiot is ever thinking, I just know that I want to see the biggest ball of twine." You hum deep in thought, not giving an actual response. Out the corner of your eye you see Five look at you funny. "What are you thinking about?" You shake your head still slightly distracted. "That sounds fun..." you're quick to reassure. "...I'm just worried about Klaus is all. I know he's known for being impulsive, but this seems pretty random, even for him." Five shrugs. "All I know is I'm seeing my ball of twine, and I get to spend hours with you in an enclosed space." You chuckle at the smugness present on his face from his own joke. "Yeah, yeah Casanova, let's just find Klaus and get this show on the road."

TIME SKIP- SHOW ON THE ROAD:

"Klaus if you don't stop screeching like that, I'm going to lose my mind." You and Five are sitting in the back seats as your head is resting on his shoulder. Klaus is driving and much to Fives demise, has been singing extremely loud and off key for the past hour. As Klaus promptly ignores Fives request (demand), you're worried about Five popping a vein in his forehead so you lean forwards and give Klaus your world-famous puppy dog eyes. They only work so well due to your much younger appearance (thanks to Five and a whole bunch of time travel). "Klaus please stop singing so loud, I'm trying to rest my eyes." Klaus valiantly attempts not looking directly at you, but it's all for naught considering one glimpse at you has him cracking. "Okay, okay have mercy on ol' Klaus I beg!" You chuckle at him and lean back to your seat where Five is already staring at you. "What?" You question. He continues to stare though he asks, "how often are you doing that to people?" Klaus pipes up from the front, "they're doing that to me at least once a day! It's honestly outrageous!" Five looks beyond bewildered now. "I've never seen you do that to me before?" You begin to smile; you see Klaus doing the same through the car mirror. "That's because I don't need puppy dog eyes to get what I want from you."

TIME SKIP- FURTHER ALONG:

In your boredom you've resorted to forcing Five to play rock, paper, scissors with you. He beats you every time so it's not the best choice of game, though you continue to roll with it. You're just thankful for the distraction.

You end up getting lost in the motions when Klaus calls out your names. You can tell from his tone that it's serious, forcing you to stop the game and pay close attention. "So, guys... I may or may not have lied to you." You can see Fives eyebrows furrow as well as his breathing pick up... Klaus may just die right here in front of you depending on what he says next. "Go on..." is all Five says through gritted teeth. Klaus' nervous laughter is deafening. "I know I said this was just a road trip, and we could see the ball of twine or whatever, but I actuallyfoundmybirthmotherandwantedtogomeetherbutIwasnervoustogoalonesoIforcedyouguystocometoo!" Your eyes widen as you attempt to piece together Klaus' rapid-fire confession. "Klaus-" You go to respond only for Five to beat you to it... by lunging over the back seat into the passenger side. You gasp. "Five what the hell?!" "Yeah, you tiny assassin this car is in motion!" Klaus is quick to add with a panic.

Five only smiles. It's not a happy smile, no far from it, it's one of his "I'm about to kill this guy and enjoy it" smiles. "You're telling me that when me and my partner could've been enjoying our retirement, you LIED TO US ABOUT GOING ON A FUN TRIP WHEN IT REALLY WAS JUST A STUPID SCAVENGER HUNT FOR A WOMAN WHO PROBABLY DOESNT EXIST?!" Fives entire face is red, and Klaus' reply does nothing to help. "...Yes?"

The next few seconds are a blur. You can see Five begin to swing and Klaus quickly slamming on the breaks which in turn makes you smack your head on the window (that'll leave a bruise). "FIVE!" Your yelp immediately snaps Five out of his rage, his head quickly swivels to look at you. You must be quite the sight because his eyes soften as soon as he takes you in. You're rubbing your head where it made impact with the window and can guess it's already turning black and blue. "Shit Y/N" he returns to your side with his hands outstretched and gathers you into a firm hug.

He begins to soothingly rub your back causing you to melt into the hold. You foolishly think the fighting's over only for Five to yell over your head. "Look what you did Klaus!" "ME?! You're the one flying across cars like some ninja just to hit the driver!" "IF YOU DIDN'T LIE TO US, WE WOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE!" Fives hold on you doesn't cease until you break away to admonish the two. "Both of you knock it off", you glare making Klaus cartoonishly gulp and Five avoid eye contact. "Listen closely because this is what's gonna happen." You pause to make sure they're both definitely listening. "We're FIRST going to visit the ball of twine AND THEN were going to help Klaus with his mommy issues.... GOT IT?!" They both meekly nod to confirm. You sigh in relief. "Thank you, now can we please just enjoy the rest of this trip?" "Of course, love, sorry for making this whole experience so miserable for you." Five stares directly in your eyes as he says this before ending his sentence with a soft kiss you have to fight not to get lost in. You break away and smile at him. "Thats alright, just no more nonsense." He opens his mouth to retort only for Klaus to whine, "hey! Why didn't I get an apology?" "I SWEAR TO GOD!"
