Note: This is Sailub's Birthday edition~ Just like Pon's birthday short story. Enjoy~
The air hung thick with anticipation in the stadium classroom. The imposing structure, usually filled with the roar of the crowd, was now hushed, the only sound was the rhythmic scratching of pens on paper as students diligently took notes.
Every light was turned on, illuminating the rows of eager students. Sailub, his dark hair neatly styled and his kind eyes sparkling, held the attention of his class with his engaging lecture. He was, after all, the epitome of a charming professor – handsome, with a comforting presence that drew people in.
"Some say when you're in love with a person, there would be a moment that it feels like the people around you don't exist, and it's only you and the person that matters, exists, though scientifically it can be proven that your hormones..." Sailub continued with his lecture with a sigh. Even as he explained the nuances of love and relationship theories, his mind was already drifting towards the evening.
He wasn't supposed to be here on his day off. A sudden illness had struck his co-teacher, leaving Sailub to fill in. The unexpected change of plans had initially thrown him off, a slight pang of disappointment settling in his chest.
Today was Sailub's birthday, and he couldn't wait to spend it with Pon, his boyfriend. A shy, petite individual with a heart that overflowed with affection, Pon was the perfect counterpoint to Sailub's calm demeanor. They were an unlikely pairing, their differences complementing each other perfectly.
As the clock ticked closer to the end of the lecture, Sailub felt a surge of excitement. The thought of sharing a romantic meal with Pon, a quiet celebration of their love, filled him with warmth. He couldn't shake the grin that threatened to break out on his face, barely able to contain his joy.
The students, however, were oblivious to Sailub's internal joyride. They were engrossed in the lively discussion he had initiated on the intricacies of a particular excerpt from research about mind and heart when it comes to love.
The lecture was approaching its end, and Sailub found himself eager to finish things. He paused, his eyes scanning the faces of his attentive students. "Any questions before we wrap this up?" he asked, a playful glint in his eyes.
He was engrossed in wrapping the lecture, the words flowing effortlessly from his lips when the air crackled with unexpected energy. A collective gasp rippled through the class as heads turned in unison toward the source of the sudden change of mood. Sailub, momentarily distracted, turned to see the source of the commotion.
From the back of the classroom, a figure emerged, his silhouette distinct against the expanse of the space. Dressed in a vivid red shirt that clashed dramatically with his pale complexion, and crisp white pants that added to the striking contrast, his small frame was accentuated by his bold attire. Despite the starkness of his outfit against the muted tones of the classroom, his radiant smile and sparkling eyes, brimming with mischief, commanded attention and drew all eyes to him.
It was Pon, his boyfriend.
A mischievous glint shone in his eyes as he held aloft a beautifully decorated cake with three candles flickering on its surface.
The music began – a quiet, romantic melody that filled the classroom with an air of celebration. An awed silence fell over the students as Pon, with a boyish grin plastered on his face, walked towards the center staircase. His eyes, bright with adoration, never left Sailub's.
Sailub's breath caught in his throat. He knew that look. It was the look Pon reserved for him alone, a look that made his heart thump with a mixture of love and happiness. Sailub felt his heart skip a beat.
