The air in the X-Hunter garage hung thick with the scent of oil and anticipation. Jeff, usually a beacon of calm amidst the boisterous crew, was currently radiating a low-level simmer of frustration. His normally soft brown eyes were narrowed, a telltale sign of the hormonal storm brewing within him. Pregnancy, it seemed, was not treating Jeff kindly.

Alan, ever the attentive boyfriend, watched his omega with a mixture of concern and amusement. He knew the drill by now – the sudden cravings, the unpredictable mood swings, and the tendency to snap at anyone who dared to breathe the wrong way. "Hey, baby," Alan said, his voice gentle, "You alright?"

Jeff glared at him, a pout forming on his lips. "Am I ever alright, Alan? My back aches, my feet are swollen, and I'm starving for...for...Pad Kaprao!"

Alan chuckled, used to these sudden, bizarre cravings. "Pad Kaprao? Alright, I'll get you some. Anything for my grumpy pregnant boyfriend."

The other members of the X-Hunter crew were gathered around a disassembled car and looked on with amusement. North, ever the jovial one, winked at Alan. "Looks like someone's got a case of the pregnancy blues again."

Sonic quietly moved to fetch a water bottle for Jeff. Charlie offered a comforting pat on Jeff's shoulder. Kim, though initially startled by Jeff's sudden outburst, quickly offered to help Alan buy the Pad Kaprao.

The atmosphere was a constant whirlwind of concern and humor, all dedicated to keeping Jeff in a relatively good mood. It was a daily routine now, a delicate dance of appeasing a pregnant omega with a fiery temper. Alan, however, was mostly happy to participate. He adored Jeff, even when his hormones were raging like wildfire. It was a testament to their love, their bond forged in the fires of loyalty and understanding.

Later that evening, after the garage closed and the crew dispersed, Jeff found himself in a particularly bad mood. He was unable to find his favorite fuzzy socks, and that, in his current state, was a catastrophe. Alan, sensing Jeff's agitation, rushed to soothe him.

"Hey, love, what's wrong?" Alan asked, his voice soft and concerned.

"My socks," Jeff wailed, "They're gone! My favorite fuzzy socks!"

Alan chuckled, finding the dramatic scene endearing. He knew exactly which socks Jeff was referring to – the fluffy, white ones with the little bunnies embroidered on the heels. He'd secretly been re-gifting them to Jeff on every anniversary, hoping to bring a smile to his beloved omega's face.

"Don't worry, my love," Alan said, taking Jeff's hands in his. "I'll find them. I'll even get you a new pair if I have to."

Jeff grumbled, but the warmth of Alan's touch soothed him slightly. The hormonal rollercoaster was relentless, a mixture of craving, nausea, and tears but Alan's presence, his patience and love, grounded Jeff amidst the chaos.

The next day, things weren't much better. Charlie stopped by their house with a surprise visit. He was keen to catch up, but his enthusiasm did little to calm Jeff's frayed nerves. Jeff's irritated whimper when Charlie accidentally bumped into his swollen belly ignited a small family feud.

Alan, witnessing this exchange, felt a surge of protectiveness. He stepped in before things escalated further. "Charlie, maybe you should give Jeff some space today. He's not feeling his best."

Charlie, though initially confused, soon understood the gravity of the situation. He sheepishly apologized and promised to visit again when Jeff was feeling better.

Jeff stayed on the couch after Charlie left feeling empty and heavy at the same time, primarily because he felt empty mentally and heavy, physically.

"Am I a terrible brother?" Jeff asks as he looks at Alan with teary eyes, he is about to cry but he blames it on his pregnancy hormones. He didn't easily cry at such small matters nor did he get mad. Alan saw his distress and teary eyes, he immediately sat next to Jeff and let him lean on his shoulder while caressing Jeff's arms.
