It was the final day of the workshop and Jeff was excited to come back to his hotel room and drink until he slept then explore the city tomorrow but their Professor, Alan, reserved a restaurant for their last meal together as a class as they would graduate after this workshop.

Jeff grumbled as he had to socialize. Don't get it wrong, he wasn't an outcast, but he'd rather have his peace and do things on his own than go along with a group that could only hinder his work.

Alan notices how Jeff is always alone and thinks he is an outcast so he mostly talks with the lad. It bothers the young man at first but he also thinks that Alan is loved by students and when they talk to each other, he can see why.

The professor was easy to talk to and although he was older than most of them, he'd still have something to talk to with his students and relate to whatever endeavors they had. He was an easygoing professor yet when the time came he became strict. He had always helped his students to become better.

Jeff was like the other students, he liked the professor and liked him too much. He was secretly in love with the professor but of course, he knew he shouldn't. That's why he kept it to himself. He tried to stop it but he felt like he was drawn to his professor the more he went through his college years.

It was another reason why he joined this workshop in another country, Taiwan. He wanted to see his professor one last time before he graduated and move on to work. It was probably the last time he would see him before graduating, after all, he was offered work in another country.

Jeff was the best student at their level, he scored highest among his peers and it wasn't shocking why he was also the favorite of his professors except Alan, who didn't have any favoritism at all with his students, especially in his advisory class.

It must be the reason why Jeff was always trying hard to impress his professor to accept him, to be on top of his list if he ever had one. To prove to him that he was someone worth the attention and make him his favorite student too. "Jeff! You came!" The professor raised his hand motioning for the young man to come to the empty table.

Jeff pondered if he was too early or if everyone was just late as he looked at the empty table. "Where's everyone Lung?" Jeff asks as he sits down next to the professor, he is used to it. Everyone, even if they loved their professor, wanted to sit away from him because if he talked, he'd talked nonstop, he even let them call him Phi or Lung instead of Ajarn.

"Oh, they might be running late or something," Alan said as he smiled at the man who sat next to him. He loves how Jeff was the only student who stayed with him no matter how loud-mouthed he was and cheesy when it came to jokes. As if on cue, a message popped out from Jeff's phone. He cursed in between his breath but Alan didn't hear him. "Lung, they can't make it. They said they had plans with other Taiwanese students and they are sorry for canceling last minute." Alan frowns. "What?" The professor sighed.

"Let's just eat together then, now that you're here," Alan says as he looks at the menu but then gets shocked when he sees how expensive the food is and there is no one-person meal. "Lung you don't have to push it. We can eat somewhere else. I know this place is expensive." Jeff says gathering his things and then going out of the restaurant, Alan follows.

"Come on I know a place," He says and they went to a local restaurant that was inside a narrow alley, it was a quiet place that Jeff discovered a few days ago. He wanted to drink and eat alone after a tiring day so he searched for something and then saw this place so he went for it. "Are you sure you're okay with eating here?" Alan asks as they sit inside, the place might look like a raggedy place but it was because it was an old place, it held history. "Yes. They serve good local food phi and if you want to drink, they have good beer." Jeff says as he takes the menu and orders everything for the two of them, including two bottles of beer as the professor asks.
