The air in Alan and Jeff's room was thick with the scent of anxiety yet there was also the scent of fresh brewed coffee and a little bit of dark chocolate, a familiar comfort, hung heavy in the air, but it was a strange mix of both that made Jeff's senses overload. He was in heat and Alan, his alpha, was still hours away coming from a business trip.
Panic choked him, a tight band around his chest. His brother, Charlie, rushed into the room, a concerned frown etched on his face. "Babe's calling Alan. You need to calm down, Jeff. We'll be alright."
Babe, was a whirlwind of nervous energy, pacing back and forth at the side, a phone pressed to his ear. As soon as the call got through he didn't say hi nor explain himself but just got straight to the point, "P'Alan, Jeff's in heat! He needs you! I don't know what to do!"
Jeff's body felt like molten lava, pulsing with an unbearable need. He longed for Alan's touch, his scent, his calming presence. He needed his alpha, right now.
"I've got this, Babe," Charlie assured him, a hand resting on his fiancé's shoulder. "Stay calm. We'll make it through. Alan will be here soon." Charlie hurried out of the room to find supplies for Jeff to make him feel better a bit while waiting for Alan.
Babe ended the call as soon as he heard the younger one groan and heard Alan say he got it and he'll be back home as fast as he can. He didn't want to get close to the omega who smelled sweet but he had no choice but to sit beside Jeff, gently helping him sit up. "Alan said to try to relax Jeff. He'll be here soon. He's driving as fast as he can." But time crawled by, each minute an eternity. Jeff's need intensified, the scent of dark chocolate grew stronger, and a primal need for Alan's scent overwhelmed him. "It hurts so much..." Jeff groans in with a strained voice.
Babe's face was pale, he was on the verge of a panic attack. He'd never been around an omega in heat before, let alone his fiance's brother. He wanted to flee, but Jeff's muffled whimpers stopped him. He couldn't just leave him. The whole situation had him feeling lost.
"Jeff, just relax," Babe mumbled, trying to focus on the boy's distressed face. "P'Alan will be here soon. Just wait, okay?" Jeff shifted, his whimpers muffled by the pillow. A wave of heat washed over him, hot and heavy, a primal need coiling in his gut. The scent of Alan, his Alpha, was a distant memory, replaced by the sharp, tangy scent, if it was possible, of his own heat. He felt vulnerable, exposed.
Jeff's voice was a weak, "P'Babe?" The man looks at the omega with much worry. "I'm here, man. It's gonna be alright. Just...try to relax, okay? I'm gonna grab some medicines, maybe some soothing tea." Babe was about to go but Jeff stopped him. "No...P'Babe, I need your help." Jeff's voice was a desperate whisper. "I need your scent, Scent me..."
Babe froze. "Jeff, no, you just wait for P'Alan, okay? He's almost home." Babe tried to sound reassuring but his voice trembled.
"P'Babe...please." Jeff's voice was a desperate plea. He reached out, his hand brushing against the alpha's hands, a silent plea for comfort. Babe was torn. He knew Jeff was in desperate need, but he was also Alan's omega. He was hesitant to cross the boundaries of their pack and their relationship.
"Jeff, you need to wait...P'Alan will be here soon." He tried to convince himself, and Jeff but the desperate plea in Jeff's voice was impossible to ignore.
"Babe, please, just touch me. I need you." Jeff's voice was filled with a need that was raw and primal, a need that resonated in Babe's own soul. He couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy.
Although Babe was hesitant, seeing the omega whimpering, he couldn't help himself, and he slowly stepped closer to the bed, inching towards Jeff. He could hear Alan's voice in his head, urging him to wait but he found himself drawn to Jeff's desperate pleas.
