I arrived in Bangkok half an hour ago to attend the Royal Masquerade Ball that's happening in two days. I got here early because my best friend Princess Penny of Bangkok had invited me to shop with her, in reality, she just wanted someone to talk to about her crush, Prince Sailub of Chiang Mai. She might not have accepted it yet but I know she likes him.

I wouldn't have gone to the ball if Penny didn't invite me. I'd rather roam around the world to see its beauty than fulfill any royal duties. I am the first-born of the royal family of Udon Thani but my father fell in love with another woman, which led to my mother to be sick so I lived with her in her own house. It wasn't as big as the castle but I loved staying there as it was located just outside the city, away from the noise and chaos that roared through the day. I still fulfill my royal duties as a prince as my father wanted me to reign one day, I didn't want to but he insisted. He wanted me to marry someone who could bring more glory to the kingdom. He didn't care about me at all, he selfishly wanted to use me as bait for princes or princesses who could help make our kingdom more rich and powerful.

He doesn't think an omega like me can rule alone and that's why he also pushed me to join the ball, to meet potential alphas to rule with me. Ugh, I'd rather kill myself than throw myself at those people just for wealth, I'm not a slave or a prostitute but being an omega, I was sure treated like one. This is why Penny and I are best friends. As omegas, we fight for our rights and power, so that we too, can be as powerful and be rulers like alphas but many laughed at us, while others supported us. Nonetheless, we continue to strive for equality.

"P'Nut!" I was greeted by a young woman in a blue floral midi dress which flowed against the wind as she ran towards me. She hugs me tightly as if there's no tomorrow. "Hey, I can't breathe," I said tapping her back so she let go of me and smiled at me. "You're finally here! There's a lot of things I need to tell you." She linked her arms to mine while she cheerfully smiled. "Judging from your dress, Sailub's already here right?" I teased her, she wouldn't wear a dress unless her crush wasn't around. She'd rather dress casually and comfortably than wear a dress and heels. "Yes? That idiot's here again, tsk. What does that have to do with my dress though?" For someone so smart, she's so clueless at times which makes her cute. "You're so good at everything except your feelings," I said as I pinched her cheeks and then let it go. "Phi! I told you I don't like him at all!" She rubs her cheeks, did I pinch her too hard? "Whatever you say." I laughed as she was so cute.

We walked into the palace talking about the new agenda that we can do to elevate oppressed omegas and stand for their own but mostly we talked about the royal ball. "Maybe I can help you find suitable alphas to rule with you, I mean I believe you can rule on your own but with uncle's temper I don't think he'll let it go." She says as we walk towards the west side of the palace. "You know how much I hate being tied down, let alone with an alpha who wants to degrade omegas like us," I said as I stopped walking and looked at her, she unlinked her arms from mine then she put her hand on both of my shoulders. "Phi, you know how much I also hate alphas like that, of course, I wouldn't pick just any alpha. I know everyone who's joining the ball, maybe you'd want to meet some potential alphas." She says as lets go of me then she crosses her arm.

Sometimes her plans are flawless and well-executed but sometimes it's also tricky which might end up either in a good way or bad way, either way, she'll do everything to make up for her mistake as if nothing happened. She's a great omega and she'll become a great queen one day, I wish I could be like her. "It's fine I guess, I don't have a choice anyways," I said as I defeatedly surrendered to the thought of meeting lots of people. "You can be with my brother then." She exclaimed which made me taken aback for a bit. "Although he likes someone already..." She muttered but enough to be heard by me. Was she kidding, or was she seriously thinking of marrying me off her brother?
