I felt my heart drop.
The words echoed through my mind, triggering a tsunami of simultaneous thoughts. I'd never been on a date with a girl before, I've never been on a real date with anyone for that matter—a little pathetic to admit as a 16-year-old.

Casey's a beautiful girl, don't get me wrong. She had a type of ethereal beauty, with large and expressive blue eyes that conveyed both innocence and depth. Her doe-eyed gaze was framed by long lashes, drawing attention to the pulling sincerity in them, softly curved lips, that would've given her a timeless and classic allure to anyone who liked girls.
Her blonde hair was often styled in various chic and trendy ways. Whether it's loose waves that effortlessly framed her face or meticulously arranged braids, it's just that I'd never imagined myself doing anything with a girl, how could I have? I'm gay for crying out loud.

How I saw it was, I had two options: I could say no and embarrass her, probably resulting in me never being invited to their table again, or I could say,
