Lucas Carter is struggling to find his place after moving to Seacrest and enrolling in Seacrest High.
As he settles in with a new group of friends, Lucas becomes caught in a complicated love triangle with Tyler, a closeted jock, and Alec, a my...
"Uh sure," I said, glancing down at Casey, who smiled at me.
"Yeah, but don't keep him too long," she said with a grin. I gently pulled away from her, taking a few steps away with Tyler so that we were out of their ear shot. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked surprisingly, a touch of concern in his tone, "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I replied.
"Well, for one, you were totally spaced out during training yesterday," he pointed out. "Just had a lot on my mind," I quipped. "And that would be?" he pressed, his eyes searching mine. I struggled to find the words to explain what I was feeling. "Nothing, don't worry about it, it's all good," I said quickly as the bell rang, its sharp sound cutting through the air. "Gotta get to class," I quipped, heading back to my locker, where Ethan and Casey were waiting. Casey leaned in and gave me a quick kiss before pulling away.
"I'll see you at lunch," she said, and I nodded as she walked off. I turned to Ethan, who looked at me in mock surprise. "Who the hell are you?" he joked, making me chuckle as we walked down the hall to class. "You're dating one of the hottest girls in school, and you're besties with THE Tyler Brooks?" he asked, still in disbelief.
"He's not my bestie; he's just a-" I hesitated, the word friend echoing in my head, taunting me. "Friend," I finished.
"Okay, Mr. I'm friends with Tyler Brooks," Ethan teased as we headed to class.

Before long, we were sitting at our usual bench for lunch, Jazz and Stephen sitting besides each other and giggling at a video on Stephen's phone. "You're back," I said, directed to Stephen. "Yeah, I almost had to miss today too. Turns out Nana had some serious hoarding problems," he joked. "So, what did I miss?" he asked.
Ethan opened his mouth to answer, but before he could, Casey strolled over, taking a seat beside me. "Hey, guys," she greeted my friends, then rested her head on my shoulder, her silky hair brushing against my neck. "Not much," Jazz joked. "So, Lucas," Casey began, "What are your plans for after school?"
"I have practice," I told her. "Oh, well, what about tomorrow evening?"
"Practice again," I replied nonchalantly. She sighed, seeming to mull it over before smiling. "Well, you're not doing anything right now," she said. "I'm eating lunch with my friends," I pointed out, gesturing to them as they pretended not to be listening to our conversation. "Well, you're always doing that," she retorted.
I sighed. "Fine, what do you want to do?"
"I don't know," she drawled, placing her hand on my inner thigh, dangerously close to my crotch.

"I think I need to use the bathroom," I blurted out, quickly moving her hand away.
I started to stand up when she grabbed my hand. "Wait, where are you going?" she asked curiously. "To the bathroom," I replied, my tone challenging. "Well, don't take too long," she said, her face falling as I gently pulled my hand away and made my way to the bathroom. Once inside, I let out a relieved breath.
