My brain wasn't bursting. It had exploded, shattered into a billion pieces and with every heated glance and even more heated interaction in random classrooms the next day, it broke a little bit more.

I couldn't help but be thankful every time I got dragged away by Casey because it meant I had a moment away from Alec and Tyler. Though that was causing trouble of its own with Nick and the last thing I wanted was to make the guy who knew my biggest secret even more pissed off at me.

I let out a drained sigh as I settled down in my last class when I watched as Alec came in, taking a seat beside me before casting me a glance.
"Hey,"
he uttered,
"Hi," I replied as the teacher walked in and began the lesson and I shuddered when Alec leaned over to whisper in my ear, "Meet me in the art room after class," his breath so close it felt like a sweet kiss.

I tried to focus on the lesson as best as I could but my mind kept wandering back, back to Tyler then back to Alec, it was impossible to think of anything else.

Seconds that felt like days ticked by until finally the bell rang and as everyone hurried out I turned to Alec, "Meet me there," he said, getting up and grabbing his bag before leaving the classroom.

I grabbed my bag, making my way out of the classroom too where my friends were all waiting for me,
"Lucas, you want a lift home, we're gonna get ready for the movies," Ethan asked.

I scanned their faces, looking down the hall to the art room, "Why don't you all just go home and get changed," I replied casting a suggestive glance at Jazz, "I have something I need to do first."

"you sure you don't want a ride?" Stephen asked,

"He'll be fine guys" Jazz reassured them, "Well see you at the cinema Lucas." She said before hurrying them down the hall towards the exit and looking back to give me a wink.

I walked to the art room feeling flutters erupt in my stomach as I reached the door.

The butterflies trailed behind me as I opened the door and closed it behind me. Alec was sitting on the table staring intently at me. Sheepishly I walked towards him, taking a seat beside him.

He gave me a warm smile as his hands reached for mine, brushing my knuckles gently with his thumb before planting a sweet kiss to my lips and the pulling back with a sigh.

"Are you okay?" I asked, unable to ignore the solemn look on his face. "Yeah, I'm fine," he quipped.

"Are you?" I pressed, watching as his shoulders slumped "I'm just sorry I didn't start talking to you sooner, I was a dick to you, your first day here," he said softly.

I smiled, playfully nudging him in the arm, "We got there eventually," I replied.

"Yeah," he breathed, placing another kiss on my lips before pulling away to look at me, "can I ask you something?" I said softly and his look turned curious.
"Sure" he replied. I paused for a second to contemplate if I should ask, but I wanted to know, "who's Jason?" I questioned.
