I bolted down the street towards my house, leaving my friends at the theatre, my heart hammering against my ribs, feeling as if the ground might shatter beneath my feet at any moment. Each step felt like it was dragging me closer to some dark abyss I couldn't escape from. My pulse was racing, my body a hollow shell, and yet my mind was a chaotic storm. The air around me was bitterly cold, like I'd been thrust into a tundra, and it seemed to seep into my bones. My skin was pale, and with each frantic step, the color drained further from my face.
When I finally reached home, I skidded to a halt, my breath catching in my throat. Tyler was sitting on the doorstep, his expression dark and furious. His eyes locked onto mine as I approached, but before I could say anything, the roar of a motorcycle caught my attention.
Alec pulled up to my driveway, cutting the engine with a sharp twist. He got off the bike in one fluid motion, his expression a mix of anger and hurt. His glare immediately fixed on Tyler as he stalked towards him.

"You fuck," Alec spat, his voice low and menacing. Without warning, his fist shot out, connecting squarely with Tyler's jaw. The force of the punch knocked Tyler off the steps, and he stumbled to the ground.
"Alec, stop!" I yelled, but he was already on top of Tyler, throwing another punch.
Tyler retaliated, his own fist crashing into Alec's side as he twisted to break free. The two of them grappled, their bodies clashing in a blur of fists and anger.
"Stop! Both of you, stop!" I shouted again, my voice cracking with desperation as I ran toward them.
I threw myself between them, pushing Alec back with all the strength I could muster, my hands trembling as I held him off. Tyler, breathing heavily, wiped the blood from his mouth, his eyes wild with rage.
"Really, Lucas? Him?" Tyler spat, his voice laced with a mix of betrayal and disbelief. His eyes bore into mine, demanding an answer I wasn't ready to give.
