I gave it up after 3 hours and ate some dinner. Then, I decided to go for a walk. Perhaps that could clear my mind.
Tying my burgundy hair up, I checked out of the campus and set out. Heading nowhere in particular.
Alone time was always my favorite, especially when you're doing nothing. Perhaps staring out into space, writing or just simply walking heals me.
Back in Malibu, I wasn't privileged enough to have a lot of time for myself but looks like that's all I have here.
There were times where I did miss the sunsets on beach or just the beach but I don't want to go back. Not yet.
Half hour into the walk, I spotted a park and opted to sit down for a while.
From the distance, I made out a figure with headphones on walking towards me. A little closer and I realised it was the same pretty guy who's supposed to be my rival.
Theo looked up and waved, slowly taking off his headphones and smiling. A moment later, he sat down on the bench beside me.
"Hi." He looked at me, hands playing with the strings of his hoodie.
"Hey," I grinned, "here for a walk?"
"Partly." He said, nodding his head. "So I was thinking, and I realized I don't really know you."
"No shit, Sherlock. We barely met this afternoon." He rolled his eyes at that.
"20 questions?" I nodded.
"Favorite color?"
"Blue. Favorite song?"
"Swoon by Beach Weather." Amazing music taste too? Kill me. "Hobby?"
I had to think at that because basketball is too aggressive for a hobby and studying doesn't count. So I told him something I've never really told anybody.
"Writing."
There.
"You know what, I really can't think of anything to ask. Want to crash a party?" Theo sighed.
