"We weren't supposed to happen, but we did. And now we're both pretending it didn't."
After her life took a turn, Nova Sinclair is forced to move schools. New school. New rules- a fresh start. A chance to focus on her goals and obey her mother.

"You kissed Nova Sinclair?!" A random guy in my class screams, turning heads.
This has been my life since the past two days, actually.
Ever since some asshole told red that we kissed, me and Nova became the talk of the whole school.
"No, I didn't!" I drop my pencil down and rub my face in frustration.
"Oh my gosh, he's blushing."
My, yes, I'm definitely blushing. Hehe. I'm in loveeeee.
Fuck this school, I'll burn it to the ground. With the people.
"Shut the fuck up, gosh I-" The teacher interrupts me.
"Good morning, class. I am sorry, I was running late this morning."
I sink down my chair, spreading my legs while putting the hood up of my sweater. This situation would be better if we could talk, talk it out.
But what would I even say?
That I like her? That's why I kissed her?
I'm not even sure why I did that, maybe I acted on impulse and anger. Somehow, my lips landed on hers.
Fuck, I should've thought it out before doing that. Would've been peaceful for the both of us.
Who even goes near that stupid alleyway? It is the most secluded place I know, I've never seen anyone there ever.
Except, of course, to do unholy things. Like...kissing.
The classes pass by in a blur, and eventually lunch came around.
Loosening the tie around my neck, I walk into the library with a mission.
When is Nova not in the library, anyways?
Finally, I find her wine red hair in the historical fiction section.
Nova doesn't see me, trying to reach a book on one of the top shelves.
I take that as a chance and walk up to her, grabbing the book.
As I was doing so, my fingers graze hers slightly, shooting a spark down my body.
Honestly speaking, I'm astonished by my boldness when it comes to her. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm anything but bold. I'm the extrovert who's a coward.
