"I've been watching you for some time can't stop dreaming about those ocean eyes."

"Don't sunsets remind you of what might have been?" Theo says while shoving his hands in the pockets of his coat.

"What a depressing thought." I shake my head. "But you're right, sunsets remind me of many things."

"Yeah? Like what?"

"Well, sunsets remind me of my...friend." The air clouds as I let out a breath.

"You don't talk to them anymore?"

"Yeah, he um, passed away last year."

"Oh," He takes a pause, "I'm sorry to hear that. Are you...okay?"

"I guess so."

The silence is deafening, the rustle of leaves in the wind leaves me feeling cold. And unbearably lonely.

"Let's get some hot chocolate, come on." He pulls me towards a little van where there's a pretty small crowd.

I sit down on a bench nearby and after five minutes he returns with two cups, steam rising out of them.

Silently, I sip the chocolate, relieved that it's taking my mind off things.

"How long have you been playing basketball for?" He says as be takes a seat beside me.

"9 years now, actually."

"Wow...that's pretty amazing."

"Yeah well," I shrug. "Do you play any sport?"

"I'm not much fond of physical activities but I can't help it that I'm too good at swimming." He says, putting on that bragging face.

"Okay." I nod and laugh, "Show-off."

We sip our hot chocolates in silence and after we finish, he says "Come on, I wanna show you something."

The walk takes almost forever, leading into roads less and less crowded.

"You're gonna kill me here, right?" I say keeping close to him despite my statement.
