"Sometimes when I'm lonely I sit and think about you."

| Nova Sinclair |

For the hundredth time, I straighten the black dress around my body while looking in the mirror.

Today is the day of the final round of debate, in which I will be participating. Against Theo.

After making sure I'm ready for everything, I put on my red lipstick one more time. I have a connection with this lipstick, mostly because it gives me confidence and makes me look good.

You're amazing, Nova.

Nervous butterflies flood my stomach, my hands are shaking and yet I'm more ready than ever. It does be like that sometimes.

My phone rings loudly from my bed and I see that Roland is calling me, I sit down and answer.

"Hey, are you ready? Get down in 10."

"Yeah, I'll be there." I say, trying to put on my heels, "Feel stupid asking this but where is this going on?"

"It's not stupid, even I don't know where." From the other side I hear him sigh, "The teacher just asked me to meet him."

"Oh, alright then. I'll be down. See you."

"See ya." He hangs up.

Adjusting my bun one more time, I grab the blazer and walk out the door while putting it on.

The dress I have is not family friendly, at all. This is the only black dress I have, so I'm glad they asked us to wear a blazer.

I spot Roland and Lia waiting for me downstairs and smile at them, "Thank you for waiting."

"It's no problem." Lia assures, "You look so professional, damn."

"Do I?" She nods in response when we start to walk towards the school.

As we walk, the only sound is the click on heels and shoes on cobblestones, and the grumble of thunder.

Black clouds hang heavy over the campus, a chill passing over me, making me shiver.

When we reach the teacher's office, I notice other people there.

Theo.

Oh. My. Gosh.

Just when I thought he couldn't look better, seeing him in a white button down and black slacks, made me re-think.
