Life after a vacation always felt boring. Returning to that almost pointless life after discovering there's much more to this world than... school.
But of course, Stellar was never boring.
Not even a week after our trip to Prague and parties were booming tuesdays to sundays. Monday was an unofficial rest day.
Not for me, the next monday is my birthday. Ain't no one resting on that day.
I've already had Theo invite everyone he knew, and since Theo has no sanity left he invited everyone he knew from all over New York.
The Hall was going to be packed and it's really buzzing around the school.
I go over a list of places I could get my dress from, checking off a mental box as I walk away from class and settle near a fountain outside school.
Of course, peace had to be ruined.
Serena Park loomed over me, folded arms and wide legs. "Can you move? I'm trying to ignore that botox filled forehead." I said without even looking at her.
"You bitch." That earned her a glare.
"What the fuck do you want?"
"Oh," She laughed, "I'm just waiting for your downfall to start. And for you to run away from here."
"Is your life really that boring?" I stand up and narrow my eyes at her.
"Just sayin'. Can't wait for the party." Her white teeth shone in my face.
"You think you're even invited?" I snicker, "You're not."
"I'm going to ruin it for you, anyway." Serena winked and walked away. My fists were clenched and I was so fucking angry I could burst out.
Deep breaths, Nova. Deep breaths.
Then came my other nuisance of the day, "Nova!" Theo ran and took a look at my face, "Whoa. What happened to you?"
I rolled my eyes, and glanced at Serena's figure in the distance. He followed my gaze and his eyes went wide, "Oh."
He shook his head and put his arm around me, leading me away from it. "We have better things to worry about."
