"If I told you that Iloved you, tell me, what would you say?"
|Theodore Abbott |
The rest of the evening goes by in a flurry of gowns, more champagne and realizations– cruel, head-spinning realizations.
First of all, I need to buy a new pair of shoes.
The ones I have on right now are killing me and I bet it looks like I'm limping when I'm trying to walk.
Second of all, I like Nova Sinclair.
Not in a yeah she's fine way, but more in a you're all I think about way. I'm not sure when it started, to be honest. Perhaps when I first kissed her.
But something about her eyes or her hair, made me fall for her in a way I never did before.
It's not been so many months since I met her, maybe this infatuation isn't even real.
Maybe just a trick of the head.
But I want her.
No.
Matter.
What.
This never happened to me, sure I kissed some people and even slept with some. And sometimes I had a thing going on with them but it was never so serious.
It just happened as a way to pass time, something for fun.
But this girl? This crazy, beautiful mess of a woman?
I'm afraid I'd fall to my knees and get her anything she wanted if only used the word 'please.'
And no, she didn't give me adrenaline rushes or thrills, those I have all the time.
Nova showed me peace. Something I hadn't known for a long, long time.
I have adrenaline rushes each time I decide to go out when I'm drunk, happens all the time.
Or when I'm driving around New York in my car windows down or perhaps when I play my guitar.
All these instances occurred way too much, that the thrill of them is a constant in my life now.
But peace, serenity or the calm? I've never felt since middle school, if I'm being honest.
So. In conclusion, I want Nova Sinclair. And I'm getting her, one way or another.
