"I don't know if you feel the same as I do, we could be together if we wanted to."
|Nova Sinclair |
I woke up, feeling like an elephant was sitting on my head.
Checking the time, it looks like it is time for school. I shouldn't have drank last night.
Wait. I didn't drink last night.
I hurl myself out of bed as soon as possible, rushing to the toilet and throw my guts up.
Am I pregnant?
After flushing, I sit aside for a while, feeling dizzy. I don't know how much time has passed but the next moment I see Ada kneeling beside me.
"Gosh, Nova. You're heating up. Let's go to bed."
She helps me stand, basically dragging me out to my bed. "I'll get you some medicine. You're not going to school today."
The ceiling is dotted with stars when my eyes start to droop and finally fall down.

"Ugh." I feel around for my phone to make it stop ringing. Without looking I answer it.
"Nova, how are you feeling?" Naina's voice fills my ears. "Ada told me you're sick."
"I just woke up again." I say, coughing. Oh dang it hurts.
"Take the medicine. I'm getting you soup." With that she hangs up.
Few minutes later, I gather my thoughts and grab the medicine on the bedside table.
Sitting up, I realise a lot of things.
1. My headache is worse.
2. I feel hot (hotter than I should be)
3. Theo kissed me. Yesterday.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
Oh my gosh. Oh my... how can I forget?
Involuntarily, my hands fly to my lips. Did he kiss me? Is it a dream?
Then the memory flashes by– hands on my waist, soft lips, pushing me against the wall. Yeah, of course I remember it. I remember it too well.
If I had enough energy to jump out of the window, I would. I definitely would.
Laying back down, I put my head in my hands, realizing one more thing.
I kissed him back. Those were my hands in his hair...pulling him closer.
Before I could let my thoughts consume me, a knock on the door startles me.
I drag my body out and open the door silently praying, that idiot isn't here too.
