Alf and his grunts walked through the hallways of the mansion, seemingly searching for something.
"Boss, are you sure this is okay?"
"Yeah, an artifact seems a bit-"
"What's so wrong about it?! Just shut up and follow me!" Alf shouted.
"Big brother Alf!" Someone called out.
The three of them turned around, surprised by the sudden call. It turns out that it was Alf's younger brother Lenon. He had the same blood red hair but longer. He also wore a bored out smug face.
"Lenon? Why're you here?" Alf questioned.
"What do you mean? That's upsetting to hear." Lenon smirked, "How can a younger brother stay still when his older brother got hurt?"
Lenon pulled out a broche. It was a magical artifact. It possessed a crimson red gem in the middle and intricate gold designs on the outside.
"That's- Where did you get something so dangerous?"
"Is that important? Go and teach that Welton brat a lesson!"
"You're right, it doesn't matter where you got it from, the important thing is the fact I'll be able to destroy that bitch!"
Skip to interaction between the two Earl's...
Earl Welton arrived by night at the Simon residence. As he arrived by carriage, Earl Simon came out to greet him.
"It's been a while, Earl Welton." Earl Simon smiled.
"Ha Ha! Oh man. I can't believe the Earl came to greet me in person! Is the sun going to rise from the west tomorrow?" Earl Welton joked, "How have you been?"
"Not bad, let's go inside now shall we?"
Skip some time and go to a separate room...
"Was the party a success?" Earl Welton asked.
"As always." Earl Simon took a sip of his tea, "In any case, I met your daughter."
"Is that so? What did you think of her?"
"Seeing as to how fast you responded, no one can deny that you're a fool for your children." Earl Simon laughed.
"They're the reason I'm alive." Earl Welton smiled.
"I'm envious you can feel that way."
"Ah... is it still the same these days?"
"..." Earl Simon stayed silent for a bit, "Besides that, your daughter is truly surprising! No, not just that, I was completely astonished."
"Does my daughter seem to have talent in your eyes?"
"Have talent? That's taking it lightly! She's the best. From what I've seen, no... There may have never been a human as talented as her in history!"
"That's the same thing Marquess Reed said." Earl Welton smiled.
"Hm? The Marquess met Jasmine?"
"Well, I also knew of Jasmine's talent at a young age but I never thought it would be this extreme." Earl Welton smiled sadly, "Which is why I asked the Marquess a favor. Since a person born so talented in magic should become a mage. It would be better for them and the world."
"It surely is amazing that he would have such a teacher!"
"Ha ha... however the Marquess declined."
Earl Simon smiled, "That's understandable, after all that child is an unequaled genius. She'd be able to enlighten herself, and become a legend as a 9th class mage(9th class is the highest where no one has reached in their time). I'm envious that she was born with more talent than I, but on the other hand, I also wish to see it grow!"
