Chapter 25: individual battles

 Many more tentacles swung towards Jasmine, she dashed back, avoiding each tentacle. Jasmine jumped up and spread her wings, levitating in the air.

"YOU DIRTY DARK MAGE!!! HOW DARE YOU DISTURB MY EXPERIMENT?!!"

Jasmine laughed, "How funny~ To think that I'm hearing that from someone who messed with his own body!"

"It looks like your eyes are only there for decoration!! THIS IS ART...!" The chimera creator cackled, "Now, I'll show it to you personally!!"

The chimera creator continued cackling, he spread his wings, they were slimy and black.

"Ugh..." Jasmine frowned, "Chimera wings...such bad taste... Maybe you should start enjoying a better style like bat wings!" Jasmine twirled around showing off her wings, Blair felt proud that she was getting complimented.

"WHAT?! HOW DARE YOU SAY SUCH-"

"Hmm~ perhaps you forgot about something?" Jasmine held the gooey chimera within a few black strings.

"M-MY KEY MATERIAL...!"

"It looks really interesting~ enough for me to toy around with it!" Jasmine used the threads to constrict the chimera, making it explode, "Oops~ My bad~" Jasmine stuck her tongue out, taunting the man.

"YOU DIRTY BLACK MAGE BASTARD!!!"

"Why're you so angry~?" Jasmine pouted, "It was just one toy! Anyway, let's change location, shall we?"

Jasmine summoned a purple magic circle, tapping something on top of it. With that, a larger magic circle appeared beneath the chimera creator, teleporting him away.

"YOU BASTARD!!!" The chimera creator cried before being sent away with Jasmine.

The two were immediately teleported away to a forest area outside of the building.

"Why...? Why wouldn't it be broken?" The man was concerned how the teleportation spell wouldn't break.

"That's probably because you're weak!" Jasmine smiled and pointed at the chimera creator, "Now then, let's have a good time in this forest instead." Jasmine flew up into the air, "Once we're done having fun, I'll completely disassemble you and make you one of my delightful servants~!"

"INSOLENT BITCH!!!" The man shouted from below.

The tentacles flew up, chasing Jasmine and looping around her.

"Whoo!" Jasmine swiftly dodged each tentacle.

Jasmine landed on the branch of a tree, she looked back to the main building and wondered if Sir Ras and the others were alright. The chimera creator who was on the ground wrapped the tentacles around his hand, and rammed into the tree that Jasmine was clinging to. This made her fly away from the tree as it fell over.

"GET DOWN AND FIGHT ME HEAD ON COWARD!!!" The man shouted from below.

"He has wings but won't use them..." Jasmine sighed.

The man jumped up and tried to grasp the long cloak that Jasmine wore. Jasmine observed the man; there were at least nine different species in his body, Jasmine decided that she couldn't even call the chimera creator a human, he was a monster. She knew she couldn't just let this guy be, she would definitely make him her servant.

Sir Ras and his party proceeded through many different rooms. They were already very beaten up from the previous battles, Sir Ras had about 20 minutes for the blessing that he had cast.

"This place is..." One of the shadow knights stepped into the room first, observing the surroundings.

"Let's find the child first." Sir Ras ordered.

The knights immediately got to work. They searched every nook and cranny, hopefully finding a door. Sir Ras happened to spot a door, he put his hand on the handle, about to open the door. When something came blasting their way.

"Dodge!!" Sir Ras shouted while he deflected the blast with his sword.

The knights looked up to find a large nasty looking chimera. It had six black and orange eyes, it had six legs and arms with sharp hook-like blades. It also had six orange and brown moth wings, four of the wings composing its hair.

"What-" Sir Ras was very surprised.

"Sir!" One of the knights called out, "Over there!" The knight pointed.

"Another one appeared!" Another knight shouted.

This chimera was dark blue and had a muscular human body. It had elf-like ears, a mask, and stitches all over its body. It also had a lower abdomen closely resembling a horse. This chimera also had many scars and chains on each of its limbs.

Sir Ras looked at the chimeras in horror, even expert ranked sword users would have trouble dealing with these monstrosities. Even a holy knight like him couldn't deal with it. But he knew, he couldn't give up.

"Everyone," Sir Ras ordered, "Prepare for battle!" Sir Ras unsheathed his sword.

Ricky finally woke up from his knocked out state. He sat up and rubbed his face, he felt slightly dizzy and he had a piercing headache.

"Ugh..."

His eyes were glowing gold as divine power leaked out of them.
