57th Expedition (Part 3)

Y/N Pov

Why does Armin have to be so fucking smart? He's figuring it out too quickly. Annie, you have to capture Eren now. They might figure us out if you don't. A gigantic bolt suddenly struck in the middle of the forest as I looked back. Annie. Good shit. About a minute later...

"GGGGRRRRRAAAAAGGGGHHHH!" I gigantic roar sounded out of the forest. Eren transformed. I trust Annie though. Shit... I should go help.

"You guys keep going!" I yelled to the others as I turned round, heading back towards the forest.

"Y/N wait! Where are you going?!" Armin yelled back as I didn't look back.

"Eren's our only hope! If the females there... I need to help!" I yelled back as I sped off. I trust Annie, but I want to make sure the operation goes as planned. I rode towards the forest, getting close enough to use ODM gear as I slipped my hood on just in case of anything. I went as fast as I could, zipping around the trees. There were faint roars and grunts coming from somewhere as I zipped towards the sounds. Eren's loud as fuck.

I kept moving towards the noise as I moved, I saw them. Anie wasn't fighting back. She was just dodging around, surviving Eren's enraged form. But he just broke both his arms trying to hit Annie as they sat there at a stalemate. Both regenerating. I quickly hid in a tree. I can't reveal myself too early. Although I trust Annie- do I? I keep saying that. But... I'm doing this. Eren then leaned down and started trying to intimidate Annie as they both were almost fully regenerated as Eren spazzed out a little. Annie regenerated first, knocking Eren off her, but he quickly got up as he rushed Annie again. Forcing her against a tree as he let out another ear piercing roar, rushing again. Annie finally landed a punch, but Eren took it and slid his mouth along her hardened arm, getting a very powerful gut punch, sending Annie flying. Eren rushed again, fucks sake, and missed another attack as Annie moved away a little. Annie then assumed her fighting stance, before delivering a kick to decapitate and shocked Eren. She walked over to Eren's body, opening her mouth and revealing Eren as she took him into her mouth. 

"Eren!" Mikasa. Fucks sake. I quietly started to zip after Annie who was running away. Mikasa managed to cut one side of Annie's face as she dashed around. Mikasa started delivering slash after slash on Annie who was guarding her nape. Until I saw an opening. Keeping my hood on, I dashed forward, tackling Mikasa out of the air and into a tree as Annie looked around.

"No!" Mikasa yelled as she rushed me this time as I dashed away, her barely missing a slash at my neck.

"Who... it doesn't matter. I'll kill you and get Eren back!" Mikasa yelled as she dashed at me. I dodged around as Annie slowed down a bit, allowing me to zip on as I kicked Mikasa back. She then started sprinting again as I let her see who I was. Annie... we got this. Come on. I don't even need to transform. We had gained a very good distance on Mikasa as Annie ran through the forest. I looked back to see Mikasa and... captain Levi. Shit. He's going to be a problem. 

"Annie. Keep running. I'll fend them off." I whispered as Annie slightly nodded. I then started to form a bow with the war hammer. (Yes, war hammer can do that outside of the titan body. It's cannon). I watched them move for a little longer as I formed the arrow. I made sure it was crystal, not my titan hardening. If it was white... it would reveal a little too much. Mikasa dashed in front of Annie as Levi went above her. But Annie didn't know that. They must be using Mikasa as a distraction or something like that. I turned towards Levi as I formed an arrow and let it loose at Levi, who was shocked as he fell back. But by the time I turned back around, Mikasa had dashed up, a glare filled with murderous intent as she rushed me. I was forced to block using the bow as my hood almost flew off as I pushed her back. But the sound of ODM gear came from behind me as Levi zipped towards me. I couldn't react fast enough as he flipped his sword in his hand, slashing my neck as I fell off Annie onto the ground. She then tried to punch Levi, but he slashed up her arm and stabbed her in the eyes. 

Fuck! It can't breath. I have to close the wound, at least. I was forced to close the wound using hardening or else I would bleed out to quickly. But I could barely get any air per breath. It'll heal eventually, but for now, hardening will have to do. Annie had fallen near me as I stood up, about to rejoin the battle. Wait... if I told Armin I had dashed into the forest to help Eren, then, Mikasa and captain Levi tell them about me being here... the Armin might figure out I'm a shifter... He's too smart for his own good. I know that he'll figure it out either way. So I have to make it seem like I was here... so I don't lose their trust. Cause clearly, we're losing. Levi's too fast and strong. 

I stood up, zipping away as I saw Levi and Mikasa look back at me. I zipped a short distance away before lifting my hood and dusting off my cloak, making sure to cover the hardened part around my neck. Goddammit. Annie... just survive. I zipped into the battle again as Annie sat against a tree. Once she caught sight of me, her eyes lit up again. Shit... I feel like a traitor now. Fuck...

"Mikasa!" I yelled as she looked back at me as Levi went on a rampage.

"Y/N!" She yelled back as I dashed forwards, landing on a tree.

"What happened?"

"That titan has Eren in it's mouth. Captain Levi's defeating her though." Mikasa quickly explained as Annie's arms dropped to her sides, exposing her nape. 

"Wait- she's exposed! I can go for the kill." Mikasa said as she quickly zipped forward.

"Mikasa wait!" I yelled as she moved, the skin and muscle around Annie's nape hardened. Goddammit. I feel so contradictory. Fuck. Mikasa dashed forward, realizing her mistake as Annie raised her hand up to kill her. But Levi managed to shove her out of the way, landing on Annie's hand before jumping up and slashing the other side of Annie's mouth open.

"Eren!" Mikasa yelled as Levi grabbed him and zipped away quickly.

"Hey! Time to go!" Levi ordered as he finally spotted me. 

"He's filthy, but he'll be fine. Forget about her now. We need to withdraw." Levi ordered practically only Mikasa as he stared me down.

"Don't lose sight of what this operation is about. Is wallowing in self indulgence more important? He's a dear friend to you, isn't he?" Levi asked as he zipped away, followed by me and Mikasa. We zipped away as I looked back at Annie's titan. Is she... crying? What the fuck... Fuck. Fuck! I feel like a traitor now. More than before. I messed up, didn't I? I'm no warrior. I'm a failure. I'm just losing more of my comrades because of my actions. I'm failing the mission because of my actions. I'm so stupid. I'm so fucking stupid. Annie... you deserve to go home. The others do too. I'm just holding you here, because I can't hold up the goddamn mission! Fuck! I'm sorry. I hope you can forgive me.
