Chapter 55: Sad and complicated...

Alastor was just in his room since yesterday, as he sat down on his bed, not sure what to do or say especially to his husband.... He was afraid of telling him about Vox being his ex-boyfriend.... Or even tell anyone about it...

Then a knock was at the door as he got up and made sure to keep his smile as he opened his door and saw Margaret standing there with a worried look on her face.

"Al...? Are you ok..? Do you need to talk..?" Margaret asked him in a worried tone.

"Hm? What makes you think that my dear friend?" Alastor said as he continues to keep up his act, as usual, not wanting to show his emotions.

".... Al.... You just went in the room yesterday after coming back to the hotel from the Vees tower.... And Lucifer looked like he wanted to talk to you about something but you continue to shut him out.... Is there something that you don't like telling anyone..?" Margaret then asked him.

Alastor just stood there silent before looking away.... Still refusing to talk about it.... Even to his friend....

"You don't have to tell me.... But I am here if you want to talk about it... But I prefer if you try to talk about it to Lucifer who is your husband... Alright..?" Margaret said as she offered some advice.

".... I can't..." Alastor finally said as he wasn't making eye contact.

"Why is that..?"

Alastor sighs as he trusted his good friend to know about this. ".... Lucifer wasn't my first love or first relationship.... Not even Rosie or Mimzy even knows..." Alastor said as he looked at Margaret.

"He wasn't...?" Margaret said as she was shocked to hear that.

"No.... I dated Vox awhile back before we broke up 7 years ago...." Alastor told Margaret as he let her inside and closed the door so no one else could hear him.

"Ah... So he used to be more than just your friend...? And no one else even knows...?" Margaret asked as she was kinda surprised, but at the same time, not really that surprised.

"Yeah.... No one else knew... You are the first person to ever know about this..."

"Well.... Even still.... You may need to talk to Lucifer about your problems.... If not it can cause trust issues in your relationship including lack of communication as well.... Along with destroying your relationship with Lucifer.... Well you don't have to tell him about your past relationship.... But try to communicate more about what you're afraid of losing again...?" Margaret then suggested to him.

".... Thanks Margaret.... I can try that..." Alastor said as he gave Margaret a head pat, giving her a warm smile at her.

"Of course! Anything for you my friend!" Margaret said before getting up and leaving, letting Alastor get some time alone to prepare himself.

"Stop thinking that nonsense.... Even if you tell him... He would be extremely upset with you...." AV said as he appears in front of Alastor to torture him some more.

"... You know what... Shut up for once... Margaret is right.... Lucifer needs to know something.... Even though she said I don't have to... But I have to tell him..." Alastor said as he left AV in the room by himself, AV looking angry as ever before disappearing.

Alastor then went to Lucifer's duck room as he went in and saw Lucifer making little Alastor ducks.

".... Lu..?" Alastor said as he walked up to him.

Lucifer jumped before turning around and saw Alastor there. "Ah... Yes Al?" Lucifer said as he was trying to hide his Alastor ducks.

"... I'm sorry for not communicating with you about my issues...." Alastor said before going to Lucifer and hugging him immediately.

"It's quite alright Al...! I wasn't affected by it at all!" Lucifer said before nervously smiling, hugging back. (Bullshit Lucifer, don't act like you weren't affected)

".... Lu you are a terrible liar...." Alastor said before rolling his eyes before looking at Lucifer in his eyes.

"Ha... You didn't have to out me in front of my ducks..." Lucifer said as he chuckled.

"Oh but I can! Also Luci.... I think I should tell you about something.... Something that I kept from you.... Please don't be mad..." Alastor said as his smile was a bit weak, afraid to say it.

"Why would I be mad Al? I could never!" Lucifer said as he snuggled close to Alastor's chest.

".... I kinda lied about not falling in love before you...." Alastor said before looking away.

"OH! Well that was shocking.... But I am not made- just surprised since you were all icky about showing affection before" Lucifer said before sticking his tongue out to Alastor, teasing him.

"... Shush Lu" Alastor said as he rolled his eyes.

"Soo.... Who did you love before me?" Lucifer asked being curious.

"You know Vox right...?" Alastor said before looking away ashamed and embarrassed.

"Yeahh? Your old friend- wait... WHAT?! I GET ME BUT YOU LIKED HIM?! BEFORE?! HOW AND WHY?! THAT GUY IS LITERALLY A FLAT SCREEN WHO ISN'T ATTRACTIVE WHATSOEVER!!" Lucifer said as he was confused as fuck.

"Uh... Yeah?" Alastor said as he avoided eye contact.

"WHY?! HOW?! I'M WAYYY MORE HOTTER THAN THAT FLAT SCREEN DUCKER!" Lucifer said before shaking Alastor. (Yes ducker, bite me)

".... Actually you and him act similar in a way... Especially with his shark obsession and your duck obsession..." Alastor said as he picked up Lucifer up in the air.

"Oh nonono don't compare me to his ugly ahh!" Lucifer said before he pouted.

"Hey it's ok... I'm with you now Luci.... But you promise you won't leave me alone.... Right..?" Alastor said before he put Lucifer down and gave him a sympathetic look on his face.

"Al... Of course I wouldn't leave you.... My own ex-wife left me.... I don't want to repeat that ever again...." Lucifer said before he gave Alastor a kiss, they both were kissing for a while.

Everything seems fine! Or was it..?
