The room was suddenly filled with the sound of a swirling wind, whipping in through the window and scattering the papers across the table. Our hair flew wildly in the gust, and everyone froze as a violent tremor shook the floor beneath us. It felt as though the very earth, resting on the floating clouds of Southern Skypia, was on the verge of rupturing.

The water in the glass container on Ms. Seraphina's collection cabinet rippled violently. Ms. Seraphina stood frozen in disbelief, Nathalia’s head darted back and forth, her eyes wide with anxiety as she tried to comprehend what was happening, and Franz looked at me with a worried expression.

I was just as stunned. I couldn’t believe that the chants I had been practicing in the real world had such a potent effect here. The flickering of the candles on the chandelier above drew my gaze upward, their flames dancing erratically as if responding to the disturbance.

The chant I had uttered was meant to harness the elements that lunar energy could support. According to my understanding, it grants its wielder the ability to harmonize and manipulate the three fundamental elements: water, fire, and earth. And now, it seemed, I had unintentionally tapped into that power.

"Pendelton, undo it!" Ms. Seraphina shouted from the stage.

My eyebrows are knitted because I don't know how to undo it, "H-How...."

Suddenly, a large hand grabbed my clasped hands, pushing it down.

    I heaved a deep sigh, "Phew....Ang lakas no'n." I murmured.

Although I was the one who chanted it, naramdaman ko mismo ang mabigat na enerhiyang nabuo sa loob ko, akala ko nga sasabog na ako do'n. So, this is what it feels like when someone has power.

Napaangat ang tingin ko kay Franz ng mapansing hawak parin nito ang kamay ko—he was staring at me, still wearing that worried expression he had a minute ago.

"T-Thank you," I tapped the back of his hand, dahilan naman para bumitaw ito.

"That chant, it requires a big amount of energy from one's mana core in order to be effective. Kagagaling mo palang, siguradong naapektuhan rin ang mana core mo. How are you? What do you feel right now?" Nag-aalalang tanong ni Franz, gently holding my arms as if he wanted to support me.

But I don't feel anything, unlike kanina na ramdam ko kung paano tumaas ang enerhiya papunta sa dibdib ko.

"I'm fine," I nodded my head to assure him, tapping his hand  before he lets go of my arms.

A moment later, the class was quickly dismissed. Her lessons weren't really that special, or is it because of what I've done? Fortunately, everything went back to normal.

"Madalas bang ganon ang klase ni Ms. Seraphina?" Tanong ko.

Nathalia puffed out a sigh of relief, "This is the first time and that's thanks to you. Ms. Seraphina is a bit ruthless sometimes, you know. When she's not in the mood, she humiliates her students."

"But she's a good teacher," Sambit ni Franz sa likod kaya pinasadahan namin siya ng tingin.

"Well, it comes from her favorite student, so I can't argue with that," Sagot ni Nathalia.
