Behind the grand tower reserved for the highest classes lies the territory of the 4th class—both juniors and seniors. As I stepped into their domain, the piercing stares made me feel like an intruder, as if an alien had suddenly appeared among them. Unlike in our tower, where students are typically found in their rooms or on the veranda, here, everyone was scattered outside—some were reading, others walking or running, and groups lingered in every corner.
The towers themselves weren’t all that different; the key distinction is that our tower is called “grand” because it houses the highest classes—those of us who can summon vast amounts of lunar power. In contrast, the lower classes can only summon a modest amount.
If this were a battlefield, we would be the defense, and they would be the offense; we are the warriors, and they are the healers who mend our wounds. No matter how you look at it, neither can survive without the other.
Yet, in the eyes and minds of many, they perceive this as discrimination. But Great Mona's intention has always been to nurture each student's abilities, allowing them to focus on their strengths and enhance their powers so that in the future, we can support one another.
Unfortunately, not everyone sees it that way. Many believe we’re simply the school's favorites.
As I stepped inside the tower, a group of male students were there, shouting at each other.
"Who the hell stole the chips in my bag?!" The guy who just came shouted, looking furious as he raised his bag in the air.
"It was Callus!" Another guy from the group shouted.
Suddenly, the Callus he just mentioned stepped out from the group and exclaimed, "Who are you pointing to?! Sa buong buhay ko, hinding hindi pa ako nakakapagnakaw. Huwag ka magbintang, Alfred na kalbo!"
The Alfred who put the blame on him came out within the circle, and he's really bald.
Alfred who didn't seem affected let out a smirk, "Kaya pala mukha kang magnanakaw."
Callus gasped.
He crossed his arms, grinning as he said, "Those who stole the chips in my bag will surely die. Kaya nga hindi ko kinain 'yon during recess dahil lagpas na sa experization date ang pagkaing 'yon!"
"What?!" Alfred gasped.
And this is how he found out, the guy pointed at each of them, "Ahah! Kayong lahat ang kumain sa chips ko!"
Napailing nalang ako sa kaingayan ng grupo at maglalakad na sana palabas sa tower pero bago pa man ako maka-hakbang ng isa, a large hand had seized my arm.
"The hell, what are you—" I instantly exclaimed.
However, when I turned my head and saw the person who grabbed me, it was the guy whose chips got stolen.
"Look who's here," He smirked.
Before I could even react, Alfred and Callus came over.
