Life continued as normal, or at least that’s how it seemed. But in the shadows of my mind, the desire for more control, more power, grew stronger.
While my parents were busy managing their businesses, I immersed myself in the modeling world. It was the perfect distraction, and it gave me what I needed control over my image, my life, my choices. On the surface, I was living the dream successful, admired, untouchable.
But beneath the surface, my thoughts returned to Sayuri. The fact that she was still alive nagged at me. She was in a coma, yes, but there was always a chance she could wake up. And if she did, what would she remember?
I couldn’t take that risk.
I needed to find a way to ensure that she would never wake up. But how? Hospitals were full of cameras and staff. It wasn’t like the movies where someone could just slip in unnoticed and pull the plug. I needed a plan, something more subtle.
For now, though, I kept up appearances. I couldn’t let anyone see the storm brewing inside me. I had to be perfect. Always perfect.
But soon, I would act again. And this time, there would be no loose ends.
