LEVI'S POV
A month goes by.
An entire month of not seeing you, of not knowing for sure if you were dead or alive. If you were tortured or unharmed. The uncertainty kept Levi out of sleep for the entire time he remained separated from you.
His usual insomnia would was now hunted by planning. Insatiable, continuous planning of how and when he and his squad would find and save you. Once and for all. And throughout that time, Mikasa and himself had crafted a detailed plan.
Still, the reality of it was way more complex than he could ever had anticpated. Shortly after he had healed from his wounds, Levi urged the entire squad to meet in his barracks, every single night past midnight: just how they all used to right before training with Jaegerist's first started.
The meetings became a necessity for each and everyone of his squad. It was then when Levi realized this wasn't just about you. Yes, everyone had come to care a lot for you throughout the last couple of months. But, something about this whole battle not being finished with the Warriors had kept his squad feeling uneasy and on edge.
In true, Levi understood how much trauma everyone was probably reliving and going through. Just how many wounds had been reopened. So, your kidnapping was just a symptom of a bigger issue that had everyone growing more and more worried as days passed.
The night after your kidnap, the first drafts of the plan started emerging within the group. Everyone had gathered in Levi's barracks and had been talking quietly, not to wake anyone else in the camp. The candlelight lit dimly on everyone's features, and all Levi could see in them was concern and worry.
'We need to act soon. There is no way we will get her back alive if we keep waiting', Levi let out, frustrated.
'Yes, but it's not just about getting her back, Levi. As soon as we do, as soon as we fight, we know a bigger fight is coming. And for all we know, we are very much outnumbered', Armin sighed as he rubbed his temples in frustration.
Levi knew he was right - coming to get you implied being absolutely ready to fight. And even more so, being ready ti defeat The Warriors. And hell, everyone knew that was not feasible at that moment.
'We shoud let Finn know. He will help', Jean let out as he looked into Mikasa's eyes. She looked at him with her brows furrowed as she nodded silently.
'We need every single one of Historia's men', Levi sighed.
'It's not enough', Reiner retorted.
Almost in sync, everyone turned to look at him with frustred expressions. Reiner was right, but just stating the obvious did not feel helpful ñ to Levi.
'What do you suggest then?', Levi snapped.
His tone remained stoic and stern in his questioning - yet, the hours he had spent feeling on edge and and tbe lack of sleep had made Levi feel beyond worn out.
'I know you all won't like this but... please hear me out', Reiner looked down at his knees and took a deep breath before continuing, as if bracing himself for the possible reactions.
'We need to work with Jaeggerists. I know, it's not ideal. But who is our true enemy now? Who has (Y/n)? For all we know, they could've killed her by now!', his tone became a tad higher as he was clearly frustrated.
'They will not. They need her titan', Mikasa let out firmly.
'Well, if that is true, then they will use her against us. And against Jaeggerists. I don't fucking like these guys either! But they have the numbers. And if we join forces with them, we will at least stand a chance', Reiner stood up as he let out those last words.
