YOUR POV

It took The Warriors four weeks to allow you to switch from sleeping in a dungeon cell to your own room in the women's barracks. It didn't feel strange to you, though. Despite your initial and quite fervent reluctance to train among them, the idea of shifting in the middle of training hours, in open fields, was not a necessarily attractive idea to you.

Why? The motherfuckers had ODM gear. In true, the gear looked a bit goofy to you, but you recalled your conversations with Levi about it as he would explain how it functioned to you. And from the looks of it, the idiots were skilled with the gear.

Yet, what irked you was that nobody dared to disclose how they got it in wuth you, and you could tell how constantly secretive everyone was around you, even if you remained quiet and to yourself all of the time. Your presence was evidently unnerving at the camp.

It was one day during your third week that everything abruptly changed. You had refused training until that afternoon, profusely avoiding the training commander's instructions, much to his anger and frustration. The older man wanted to beat the shit out of you. You could tell.

And could sense nobody was really pushing you due to what you figured was fear. Still, they continuesly insisted on initiating your training for weeks and weeks on end.

That day, the commander was insisting on you to sparr with a young female cadet named Freya. She was blonde, petite and had a resting bitch face that made your stomach turn every time your eyes would lock with her.

Freya seemed quite smug and overbearing, and seemingly tried to provoke you with her staring but it didn't really have an effect on you. You were oficially out of fucks to give at that point.

Yet, in that moment, as you felt the sun hit your pale skin with ease, it all became too much. You thought of your friends, you thought of Levi. You wondered if they would come looking for you soon, if they would get hurt in the process. You felt so much guilt and uncertainty. And you had a sudden impulse.

And truth be told, there had not been a single hour during those three weeks were you haven't thought of them. They were a constant inside your head and you continued to ruminate restlessly.

But suddenly, a new thought popped up on your mind. A new thought: you were in an open field - what would happen if I shift now and kill everyone here? Would I be able to do it? To simply get rid of each and every one of them?

That could be your chance. Your only chance. You had two hours of training remaining that day, and then you would be back in your dungeon cell, just to be used as a weapon until your (very) certain death.

You looked into Freya's eyes again, those eyes filled with smugness and hate. God, fuck you, you thought silently. Almost unconsciously, you brought your thumb close to your lips.

Certainly, you could bite yourself and you would absolutely shift. Your intention was there, your mind was fully prepared. You could feel it in your chest, through your bloodstream and in every single cell in your body.

You could destroy that place and burn it to ash.

But just as you continued to bring your finger closer to your mouth, Hugo somehow appeared out of nowhere and abruptly grabbed Freya from behind. It all happened so quickly. You didn't even notice he was in the traning field.

He swiftly snaked one of his arms around her chest, locking her in place. With his other hand, he held a dagger to her neck. Freya remained silent, her gaze turning from smug to terrified as she continued to look into your eyes.

And you saw it - she was pleading with her eyes. She was pleading for her fucking life. Yet she would not speak. She wouldn't squeal or squirm around to break free. Freya stood in place as her eyes pleaded with you.
